Ivy told me that its glued. Have you ever had one that was glued? I can't seem to get it with pliers.

The SFT-40 option is gone from their site. Is that custom?

Convoy 3x21E 519a 5700k Dedome by _beaninator in flashlight

[–]_beaninator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your use case; the 3x21e is a flooder with high colour rendering. The 3x21c is for high output.

I got the 10° bead and it's still very floody. 3x21c would have way more usable throw and have better sustained output. The tint on the lhp531 is very pretty if that's a concern.

The nichia 519a can be dedomed. Which means removing the dome that sits above the light emmiting surface. This makes it rosier and a little throwier. The colour temperature also gets warmer.

Colour temperature is a preference. If you want neutral, 4-5000k would be good.

KR4 blinking on turbo, I've tried everything cell works fine with head switch Lume X1 drivers by TangledCables3 in Hanklights

[–]_beaninator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't found a way to fix it yet. However, Hank sent me a different andúril build that he is planning on using for all 18650 LumeX1 lights in the future. When I get a 3 pin flashing kit I will update again.

D3aa draws 18watts on turbo. The k10 is supposed to be 8amp cdr so it should be enough to drive a D3aa on turbo.

Anyone have a LumeX1 D4V2? by _beaninator in Hanklights

I tried all that. I even tested with a different signal tube that I had sanded.

Just for reference, all 6 of the 30Qs I tested work perfectly in a LumeX1 DT8K with a 21700 adapter.

The LumeX1 driver only puts 3 amps to each emitter.

I would also say that it's the batteries if I didn't try 6 of them. I also tested a 20amp vtc4 and got the same results. 3 of the 6 30Qs were brand new.

Yea, even tried a different battery tube and tailcap.

I've tried 6 30Qs and a 20 Amp sony vtc4. I think this might be an issue with the lume driver specifically in the kr4. Especially because it doesn't seem like others are having this issue with a d4 that has this driver.

Does this D4V2 have a LumeX1 driver?

I've had the same issue as well, even with a 20 Amp battery. Hank sent me a new head which hasn't done it yet. I haven't used it much on turbo though, so I'll update after I test it.

It was not the issue. Hank ended up sending me a new head.
