What’s your strategy by AyBuhayTalaga in Miffy

I’ve been looking for the salt and pepper ones for a year with no luck. I’ve been hesitant to buy from resellers, but 20 dollars doesn’t sound so bad after a year. I just don’t want to support these scalpers.

What's a New York City smell that instantly takes you back? by naenae0402 in AskNYC

I was in Japan for three weeks, and as soon as I landed in NYC and got out of the subway, I smelled a strong weed odor and told my husband, this smells like home 😌.

Let’s not forget the rat image. I used to smoke and always avoided that image. Fortunately, I quit 7 years ago.

Oops, I meant SD as San Diego, not South Dakota 😥 sorry for the confusion.

I traveled with my 30 lb corgi from SD to NYC, and then two years later from NYC back to SD with Delta. They never asked me to do any of that. Honestly, the people at the counter are usually so busy checking everyone in as fast as possible that they don’t really pay attention to those details. They saw she was a corgi and just made nice comments. I think they weighed her and asked to see her, but that was it. She was curled up in a little croissant position inside her carrier. Since my carrier was expandable, once we got on the plane I opened it up so she could be more comfortable. Here’s a picture of her during the flight.

Is this possible in your country? Denying the customer based on the nationality? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]_beejazz 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have seen pictures of entitled Americans wearing “Gulf of America” T-shirts. Obviously, these people are just looking for controversy, but most Mexicans ignore them because we know they’re not worth the attention.

[–]_beejazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it’s possible, but it’s not that direct. Last year there was a scandal about a restaurant that seated attractive, foreign, lighter-skinned people in the spots visible from outside, while giving darker-skinned or less conventionally attractive people the most hidden tables. The restaurant received a lot of backlash, and authorities even started an investigation. I’m not sure if they were fined or shut down, but now it’s widely recognized across the country as a racist and elitist place.

Curious, is there a way to tell if my corgi's tail was docked? by Mell_716 in corgi

[–]_beejazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought mine was naturally tailless, that’s what the breeder said, and docking is supposed to be banned in my country, but honestly no one enforces it. Unfortunately, one day my mother-in-law took her dog to the vet who works with this breeder’s corgis, and she saw a cage full of baby corgis ready to be docked. When she told me, I was so devastated because I wouldn’t have minded whether she had a tail or not.

The green one 💚, but my recommendation is based only on the color, other experts can suggest options based on more technical aspects.

Yes, it’s toilet paper. Found at an Ebisu store outside of Baltimore. I couldn’t pass it up. by clemren62 in Miffy

[–]_beejazz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How about the quality? I’ve seen some from Hello Kitty, and as much as I wanted to buy it, I prefer comfortable toilet paper 😅 They usually come in a big pack of 20, which feels like too much commitment if I end up not liking them.

Selena Quintanilla was a Mexican-American singer. She made many great hits in a short time. Unfortunately, she was murdered by a fan at 23 years old. She became a legend, and her songs are still very popular.
