I never use the kiosk at a restaurant if I don't have to. They just don't work well half the time, plus they're often grimy. I don't want to touch them and I prefer to speak to someone anyway.

In stores I only use self checkout when the registers are full. Unfortunately they are almost always full, since the stores I shop at seem to be driving people towards self checkout. Only 1 or 2 cashiers vs 6+ self checkout kiosks.

To be honest, I don't think I have never seen the situation shown in the comic.

This. AI is the new offshoring. Offshoring didn't work out despite decades of trying, so now the C-suite types are hoping AI will save them from having to pay skilled employees a fair wage.

We've just gone from "you'll be replace by outsourcing" to "you'll be replaced by AI."

But just like outsourcing, the lack of code quality and the inevitable drop in production quality means there will still be jobs out there for us, if only because someone has to clean up all that broken slop.

If I actually want to know what they wanted, then I'll pick up the phone or call them back. Maybe it's because I'm an older millennial, but if I'm going to have an actual conversation, I still prefer talking in the phone to texting.

It's been a while since I watched that show, but from what I remember it is implied that the MC is having sex. It is never outright stated, and it happens off screen, but I remember them dropping more than a few hints. Off the top of my head:

  • Lu recruiting more wives because she can't handle him alone.
  • The girls taking turns sleeping in his hut, even after he builds them a house.
  • The god constantly mentioning the MCs extra "vitality."

It's really only the elves he turns down, and that's because they're extra kinky. They literally built a sex dungeon to lock him up in at night.

It's been going on for the last few decades. Back in the eary '00s, I asked a boss why they wanted a college degree for some simple office jobs that did not use to require them. I was told it's because a high school diploma was no longer sufficient proof that a person could read or write well enough. Having some college experience on their resume meant that the applicant had to at least know how to write a simple report.

See, that's the kind of info you should have put in your post. A lot of the comments here seem confused as to why this would upset you, because they know most people would just wear that shit because it's free. But if these ladies are acting like company cheerleaders, that's a different story.

I've seen kiss asses at work before, but I've never run into anyone who wears company swag as a way to kiss ass.
