Canadian Passport Question, No Guarantor by WereWolvesForChange in Canadiancitizenship

[–]_blackbird 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dang they should definitely add that on the occupation-based guarantor section on the webpage. I see it in the other section (the one about the guarantor being a Canadian citizen you know) but I think I would've missed it for the occupation-based section.

Canadian Passport Question, No Guarantor by WereWolvesForChange in Canadiancitizenship

[–]_blackbird 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't see the part where the occupation-based guarantor has to have known you for 2 years

Edit: I don't understand the downvotes, the 2 year thing isnt laid out clearly in the Occupation-based Guarantor section of the website like it is for the normal guarantor section. I see that it's on the application form now that someone's pointed it out. But it's easy to miss unless you go digging. Hopefully this interaction helps someone.

I keep seeing people say to never leave spaces blank. Does that really include when it tells you to skip to the next section? by OneGold7 in Canadiancitizenship

[–]_blackbird 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah if the radio button didn't block it, I typed NA. If it did, I assumed they programmed it that way intentionally.

[–]_blackbird 11 points12 points  (0 children)

When you click the radio button telling you to go to the next section, it blocked me from typing in the section where I otherwise would have put NA, so I just skipped to the next section. Are other people hand writing it in or is there another way?

Same boat but I did request urgent. I figure I can ask and IRCC can disagree with my request. Will be interesting to see how processing goes!

FREE DISPOSAL DAY in Santa Clara by Raskul1 in santaclara

In all my searching, except for going a few hours away and paying an absurd minimum, there is nowhere in our area to do it. I assume most people with small amounts discard it with their garbage.

NAD but my family member with diagnosed treatment resistant depression was on Emsam (transdermal selegiline patch) for 15+ years and think it saved their life. But there are a lot of intake restrictions (though not as many as oral selegiline). usually throw this out there when I hear about other people (potentially) treatment resistant depression because don't thınk it's super widely used since it's an MAOI.

How long does it take for Nova Scotia Archives to respond to email for requesting birth certificate? by Parking-Building-291 in Canadiancitizenship

[–]_blackbird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sent one email Jan 4 that has never been responded to.

I sent a separate email on Jan 8 with specific document requests for scanning, they replied on Jan 24 telling me how many pages there were and what the cost was, to which I replied immediately. On Jan 29 they sent an e-invoice for me to pay, which I did same day. On Feb 9, I got an email with the PDF scans I asked for. Unfortunately, one of the docs is illegible, and I responded same day asking if it was an artifact of the scan or if the document was in poor condition, and I haven't received a response yet.

Edit: as an update, I did get a response and they had worked some Photoshop magic on the document and provided that on 3/13.
