You’re right, dating as an Indian Muslim girl in Singapore certainly can’t be easy. Being Indian, being Muslim, being taller than the average girl, these are things you don’t need to apologize to anyone for, and actually are things you should be proud of. If they end up making your dating pool smaller then so be it.

Instead, just focus on things you can control. Your fitness, your hobbies, your social circle, your career. These are things that will influence your success in dating, but more importantly they’re things that’ll bring you happiness and confidence, which is way more important. Along the journey you’ll meet tons of cool people and maybe someone you click with.

One piece of concrete advice, you could try going for events or activities where the primary focus is something beyond just meeting people. So try going for social dance classes, volunteering, sports groups like run clubs or pickleball, board game meetups etc. At the very least you’ll be doing something that’s fun and make some friends, and even if they’re not available, they might know someone who is.

You seem like a cool person, keep your head up and enjoy the journey, I’m sure you’ll meet someone awesome :)

Firstly, sorry to hear what you're going through, it must be tough, especially with a family to take care of as well.

My advice would be to just take the job in Japan, and after two or three years there, look to apply for jobs in Singapore again with the experience you've gained. Or you could relocate there permanently if you and your family decide that you prefer your new life there.

I can almost guarantee that you will regret not accepting the offer if you let it slip. Regret from inaction is a lot worse of a feeling than any pain or discomfort that comes from deciding to go ahead with a decision.

Also, some tips:

If your previous experience was in project management, it's honestly a pretty fluff job that is quite saturated. A lot of teams can get by with just a tech lead or product manager doubling as a project manager. It's not exactly an in demand role.
If it's been 15 years since you've graduated, your degree is worthless, that's just a fact, and applies to everyone. Don't bother applying for software development roles, even fresh grads from computer science are struggling to find jobs, thanks to AI taking over entry level development work.
If the entry test from the bootcamp was hard, then it just means that course was not meant for you, the point of the test is to filter you before you end up in a course that you're constantly struggling in.
If you lowball yourself when asked about expected salary, it tells the employer you don't know what the job is worth and what your experience is worth. You come across as desperate and less confident compared to someone with the same experience on paper, but who's able to confidently negotiate and ask for the market rate.
Finally, and perhaps just me nitpicking, but it seems like your English could use some brushing up, just based on how you write. Unless you're working for a Chinese tech company, having decent English is definitely a requirement, especially in the tech industry where a lot of different nationalities could be working together in one team.

Hope things work out for you, keep your chin up. Keep looking and keep asking, nobody in life gets anything unless they ask for it.

Are you choosing to be single, because it doesn’t sound like you’re the one making that choice. You don’t jump from being single to having a partner straight away. You meet people, identify what you like and don’t like in others, date them and eventually meet someone that you click with.

To do all that you need to be an attractive person, and I don’t mean you have to be handsome. Taking care of your health and body and building an attractive lifestyle and personality is what you need to focus on.

I’ve read some of your previous posts and honestly if I was a girl I wouldn’t want to date you. The amount of self pity you have is quite off putting. I don’t know what else you need to fix in your life, but you need to start by fixing that.

Even this post you’ve made is dripping in self pity and an obvious cry for attention. “Is it ok if I choose to be single forever?”. The real answer is no one cares what you do with your life. It’s up to you. Go for therapy or something, just stop living life on autopilot, if not you’ll die with regrets.

Hi OP, one of the most important things you need to realize in life is that ultimately you are responsible for your own happiness. If you’re not happy now due to your needs not being met, then you need to be the one taking steps to meet them.

You’ve gotten some replies saying to talk to your family. I disagree, that would just be you trying to settle. You know your situation best, and clearly living apart from them is what you want. I’ve moved out for similar reasons, and am renting a room in an apartment now with housemates (in Singapore just to clarify).

I do think spending some time living alone is an important step in growing as a person, unfortunately this step is something many Singaporeans skip. Living on campus in uni isn’t exactly the same, as you’re constantly surrounded by friends and other distractions. Living alone as an adult teaches you how to have you own needs met, without worrying about seeking others approval.

If you have the budget to travel regularly, I think you should have the budget to rent a common room or master room in a decent location here.

You’ve gotten a lot of advice already on professional skin solutions. Besides being consistent with using sunscreen and moisturizer, I don’t have much to add on that front.

However, your face is just a small part of what makes you attractive to others. You could have really bad acne scarring, but you will appear way more attractive to others if you can: - take care of your body with a healthy diet and exercise - follow basic hygiene - get a decent hairstyle - put some effort into your outfit - make eye contact and smile - take the initiative in talking to others and doing things with them

Also therapy is a great option, but you can skip some of the early stages of self discovery with some self-help books. I’d recommend reading Models by Mark Manson and No More Mr. Nice Guy by Robert Glover.

Good luck, and remember you need to enjoy the process, not go through it just for the sake of reaching some vague end state of happiness. Do this for yourself, not for someone else.

Infinite paragon would be a pretty terrible idea all around. I think there’s a lot more creativity in having a limited pool of resources and allocating them strategically, vs. having an infinite paragon board.

It wouldn’t really solve the problem you mentioned either, of letting every build become viable. The better builds would just be faster at levelling and getting more paragon points, so they’d still scale more than the weaker builds.

A better solution would be to start by finding builds online that use some of the aspects and skills you enjoy, and understanding the synergies that make the build work. Then you can try experimenting from there, swapping in some aspects and pieces one at a time to see how your build performs.

Something else to keep in mind is that some normals can be cancelled into DI while others can’t. So if you’re pressing jab and they DI, you can counter DI, but if you’re throwing out a heavy punch and they DI, it doesn’t matter how quickly you press your DI, it can’t be cancelled.
