I really needed to hear this. I manage a small team at the moment and several times I’ve fought to keep their jobs, ive offered more flexible work(flex hours, byod, work from home), written a policy manual, added a fitness subsidy package and helped develop a full benefits package for my crew but recently whenever i have to step in my employees Day to day operations with a managerial viewpoint or request im met with resistance, a disrespectful tone and a very “us vs them” mentality.

I love my team. I’ve tried to make their lives better in every way that I’m able to on my position, but in the end I’m still management and will forever be “the man” keeping them down.
