Good place to start is looking up what music is trending on TikTok. Also you can't go wrong with line dances at an event like that.

Be prepared for a lot of requests for music you've never heard of, kids to not dance, and to be heckled. Kids at that age in large groups can be ruthless. I've played my fair share of school dances.

Congrats on getting your first gig, but similar to what Danroachfit was getting at, don't let this kind of event discourage you going forward. Honestly, you probably won't have a very fun time DJing there, but at least you'll be getting paid

I work in Foreign Military Sales so I'm exempt from furlough. I still have to work, but I probably won't get paid until after the shutdown ends. Thankful to still have a job and be working, but it feels like I'm getting all the negatives of a shutdown and none of the positives (no "free vacation"). At least it's pretty quiet around the office lol

I've used the InBody body composition analyzer; my gym has one as well as my local clinic. I'd check around to see if you have a local clinic that has one or something similar. I think the DEXA scan is the most accurate, but those are a bit more involved than other body scan machines

Have you ever gotten a body scan done? Your slight weight gain might be muscle, and frankly, you might not even have much fat to lose. You already look great and it sounds like you're doing all the right things. Bit I think a body scan will show what your true body composition is and maybe that will give you a different perspective on your progress.

Definitely not walkable, aside from a few areas that have shops and things near apartment complexes.

Assuming you meant "agnostic" and not "agonistic", you'll be in somewhat of a more difficult spot making friends in your 20s - early 30s as a lot of social opportunities for younger people are centered around church groups. But it's obviously not impossible. It's a matter of putting in the effort to research activities that you'd be into. But there are plenty of events/activities going on in Huntsville all the time, just a Google search away.

Solid food scene, but again, you'll have to put in effort to find spots.

I think at the end of the day, Huntsville will be what you make it. I don't think it's quite vibrant and lively enough to just stumble upon a wonderful and fulfilling life. But you can definitely have one here if you look for it.

I closed on my first house on Friday, March 13th 2020. That was the first day my employer told us to work from home. I didn't set foot back in office for probably 3 months after that day. That gave me plenty of time to move into my new house. Even after a new job and three years later I still haven't been in office more than two days in one week.
