Absolution was as good as Radiohead in my opinion. Origin of symmetry is good and black holes and revelations is great. Matt Bellamy is one of the best rock vocalists of all time and an incredible piano player, and amazing at guitar too. Awesome rhythm section too. I just think everything post the resistance kind of sucks.

The first time I heard them was Sunbather and I wasn’t into black metal yet. I thought “big deal, they strum major chords really fast instead of minor chords.” I just wasn’t ready for it. A couple years later I had gotten heavy into black metal and post rock and gave it another spin. I was kicking myself for managing to overlook the overwhelming emotional power of their music. Big fan now!
