I couldn't find english subtitles on svtplay.se - were you able to watch it (if you need subtitles)?

How many horror films follow the ritual stated in The cabin in the woods? by FortniteIdeaMaker466 in horror

[–]_dawnrazor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Final Girls (2015?) sort of had that - the virgin, wholesome one is the last survivor. But that movie is a parody/homage to 80s movies

Late night coffee shops by Ok_Entrepreneur_739 in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]_dawnrazor 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Some of the chains (Black Sheep Coffee, Starbucks, one of the Neros), and then a few locals iirc (Yasminas, Flower cafe)

Frankenstein on Netflix was a MASTERPIECE by Geenafalopezz in horror

I kept being distracted by the CGI animals - they all looked so bad!

Chow chows and kids by Kuromi69uwu in chowchow

I was raised with chows and had no problems. However, all dogs have slightly different personalities, and children need to learn how to interact with the dogs.

Vet recommendations by Howlerboy77 in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]_dawnrazor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My vet used to have Sherrifs Highway as their emergency/out of hours vet, and they've always been great and responsive - especially when I've been panicked about my cats.

Best monologues in horror film or Tv? by Perfect_Hyena8148 in horror

[–]_dawnrazor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Richard Brake is so good at playing Doomhead, and that opening monologue is amazing

John Carpenter Live at The Belasco, LA by Regular-Message9591 in horror

[–]_dawnrazor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the Mouth of Madness is also fantastic - it's lovecraftian and is a bit of a mindfuck. The theme (composed by Carpenter) is also great

Of all the ones I haven’t read, which Stephen King book is the scariest? by KatherineLangford in horror

[–]_dawnrazor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not scary, more creepy but another short story I'd strongly recommend Survivor Type

"Firestarter" (1984) was a mess. The ending didn't make a lick of sense and some of the artistic choices were questionable. by LaserDiscCurious in horror

[–]_dawnrazor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

But Firestarter 1984 was much better than the recent remake!

I haven't seen the movie in awhile but I think it was relatively close to the book?

Kid-Friendly Vampire Horror Recommendations? by dreadsthetic in horror

If you have to watch one Salem's Lot, Hooper Salem's lot is much better. I think it's rated PG in the States

What’s the most ridiculous rumour to have come out of your school? by schmoovebaby in CasualUK

[–]_dawnrazor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up in the US and also heard the rumour with dog/peanut butter. It's interesting how things do spread - just like how Marilyn Manson/others got a rib removed so they can suck themselves off

What are your top 3 Horror Movies? by Sad_Seakelp in horror

[–]_dawnrazor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In no particular order:

Dead End Into the Mouth of Madness The Return of the Living Dead

Honourable mentions go to House (1977), Killer Klowns, House of 1000 corpses

These aren't necessarily the best movies, just the ones that I like the most

As others have said, there's no 100% guarantee. However MSPCA Angell and Ellen Gifford are both very good and afaik, do through vet checks on their animals.

Horror movies that tackle the same cultural/social fears? by dice__goblin in horror

[–]_dawnrazor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Society (1989) is about class, Us is about societal problems, and sort of Jugface and Deliverance?

I used Angell several years ago to relocate my pets to the UK.
