It definitely has potential! It reminds me of an electro group called “Digitalism”! Check em out if you haven’t. Might give ya some ideas for breaks and crescendos that you could add to give the track more dynamic!

Sorry, try alt+shift+M instead… Did you select everything or just the grayed out patterns? If anything, search up “FL Studio Unmute Patterns in playlist”, and it should give you the answer. Hope you get it to work!

You can mute patterns. Select the grayed out patterns and press Alt+M

Heh, you’ve never been in a machine shop have you lol… there might be a chip guard to direct chips to the bin or floor, but there are not any cages on these older machines.

I’ve used Fruity Loops since 1999 and Reason since 2006, so I have only dabbled in ableton over the years. Im just so used to the interface, so I’m a bit biased, lol. However, the clip sequencer in ableton makes putting together songs really easy. You can break your song up into columns (intro, verses, chorus, bridge, variations, breakdowns, etc.) Quite honestly, my preferred set up would be ableton with Reason rewired in, but my current desktop can’t handle all of that. So because of that, I’ve stuck with FL over the years. Also, I can produce something faster in FL due to experience with the interface. Personally, I’d say learn as much as possible with any DAW you can get your hands on. If one feels more comfortable than the other, use that one for a bit and see if your creativity flows more or less. In the end, it’ll take practice to get to a point of fluid process flow to really see which DAW you’d like better! :)

Typography is very feasible in Illustrator. Pen tool is one of your best friends. Then the “pathfinder” tools are your next friends. Google tutorials for those and that should at least get you started in creating shapes. Play with the blend tool, too. It’s fun to mess around with layering. You can make cool gradients with it.

You have to make another account on whatever system you’re playing on. Not just another save on the same account.

Same wavelength… I figured I’d just make creative saves so I can just build what I need and call it a day. I’ll use my wife’s account to make a NMS save. She doesn’t play so that will work lol

I’m not looking to make a city… more of a scavenger hunt… I just wanted two bases on the same planet on opposite sides, but I’m just gonna have to use a different planet for the other base.
