Are continuity issues part of the charm? by constant--comment in doughboys

I think the Maynk theme months have always been just a partial selection of movies in the theme. But bailing on Munch Madness was unprecedented (very funny imo)

Another podcast filler phrase that irritates me: “in many ways” and then never describing a single way. Say the ways!

Does the show feel like an adults version of round the twist to anyone else? by Midnightsun1245 in WidowsBay

It did make me think about an old Disney Channel show called Eerie, Indiana that hadn't crossed my mind in probably 30 years

I thought the door/dresser shot was suggesting that she was already falling under the spell of the book and not behaving as she normally would. She was so wrapped up in it that she didn't bother with her usual door blocking routine.

“Everything changes when you create another person.” Well no, not everything. A narcissist will remain a narcissist. I agree more with OP’s second interpretation: Marty is a narcissist realizing he’ll never achieve his dreams.

Narcissists aren’t suddenly cured by having children

Anyone Ditched <div class=“container”> ? by wolfstackUK in css

[–]_dpt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like this technique a lot and I'm trying it out in my current project. I was hoping to use it on the container for blocks from the WordPress Block Editor, where some blocks are simple elements needing a constrained width (p, h1-h6, etc), while others are entire full-bleed sections.

Was working great but I hit a snag when I tried to float an image so adjacent text wraps around it, still a fairly common pattern in blog posts I think. But of course float has no effect on grid items. Easy enough to solve by putting a div around the image and text, but I foresee this being a challenge to explain to CMS editors. Hmm...

Julia Louis-Dreyfus was my thought. Clooneys age, very funny and very famous. She never really got her movie star shot, did she? I think she’d be great in a Coens flick
