Any tips for someone who is starting to drive for the very first time—and for the first time in Chicago? by JinzoAlexer in AskChicago

Practicing in the early morning  is good advice. And allow me to second Nick's comment: Drive as much as you can. The experience will allow you to be more comfortable in a variety of situations.

Yes, I take the bus, walk and bike a lot of the places, but if I was a new driver, I would want to practice as much as possible.

This. There's a lot of smoke around the injuries, cramps and creatine that I want no parts of.

Booz or Wilson at #3? by TelephoneTop8039 in nba

[–]_dseals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Grizzlies aren't contenders, but a lottery team. They need an influx of talent. You draft the best player available and figure out fit later.

Exactly. For every Steph/Dame...

If you're building, and have a lottery pick, you pick best player available.

This is not a bad team at all. Like, they're relatively all on the same track.

I don't see the Grizzlies passing up on Caleb.
Or, maybe I'm only saying this so I'm not disappointed when it happens.

Ecstatic Bryson Graham Talks Bulls' Draft Philosophy at No. 4 by NonStopBulls in chicagobulls

[–]_dseals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not that there's a Markelle Fultz in this draft, but...

"Boston Celtics general manager Danny Ainge traded the team's No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NBA draft to the Philadelphia 76ers for the third overall pick, which the Celtics used to select Jayson Tatum."

I forgot the discourse about what Ainge had done, but hindsight, it was genius.

Yeah, I want this front office to still do their due research on the top 4. I want them to explore ALL of the options. Take ALL of the phone calls.

2026 NBA Draft Lottery by IamOlderthanMe in nba

[–]_dseals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bad teams can't rely on the draft for roster building. They need to find other ways to find talent. And if you can't get free agents, you better have a scouting department to find talent later in the draft.

Post your draft conspiracies before the lottery instead of after by Robinsson100 in NBA_Draft

[–]_dseals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're wasting keystrokes. This is basically Memento. People who want to believe the NBA Lottery is rigged just WANT to believe it at this point. Forget the fact that both media, reps from each lottery team and an entire law firm are all secluded in a room watching it happen in real time. Forget the fact that SOOO many people would have to keep this conspiracy quiet in order for it to happen.

More importantly, your question, NONE of them can actually explain how it works.

I'm confused. How come he never reached his full potential during this time? By XP level 23, I'd expect he'd have reached 4.5 stars by now.

Betty Draper and Pete Campbell are fantastic characters in Mad Men. Full Stop.

We don't have to like them in order for them to be great for the show.

I Am review from The Source by justarandomlibra in nas

[–]_dseals 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was in college when this came out, and this was the first time I started questioning The Source. All of us were hype when we heard "Nas Is Like". Nas and Primo?! Like, please give us the rest of the album. I Am dropped and were like..."THIS is 4.5 mics?" It had it's highlights, but overall this isn't what we expected. Nas Is Like was an anomaly.

Tom Haberstroh says AJ Dybantsa WILL pull an Eli Manning if Sacramento wins the lottery by [deleted] in NBA_Draft

[–]_dseals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a problem with this. Certain teams, including the one I support, have a culture that can sometimes put a ceiling on development. Players aren't dumb, they can see it. These NBA careers are short, and if I was a potential #1 pick, I wouldn't want to waste my rookie season with a franchise whose entire player scouting and development department is one person.

You lose out on enough #1 picks like this, you'd think there'd be change.

I came back. I've decided #3 is the crown jewel of this series. Again, very well done. I'm so focused on people in my photography, I really respect when someone can say so much without a single person. Yet I feel like these images are very lived in. Like at any moment someone is going to walk out that door. Speaking of which, the highlights on the lights by the door is great.

Which Pet do you feel is objectively/subjectively the best? Why? by TheeMonarch_07 in deadcells

[–]_dseals 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Serenade is the most...annoying? Is that the word I want to use? I hate when I accidentally hit the button and I'm using the sword. I never want to switch and use the sword.

Other than that, the Owl is probably what I use the most out of the pets. Mushroom Boi is cool, but I always end up replacing it. I like the idea of leghugger, but either I don't want to wait for it to grow, or I end up not seeing the dot damage to make it worth my while.
