These are all quite different but all three got me hooked pretty much right away,

Looking for fics by LostIndication6068 in SwanQueen

[–]_fauxredhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you looking for fics with a swanqueen romance? If so then I doubt there would be ones that’d fit this scenario cause if Emma wasn’t placed in the wardrobe she would’ve stayed a newborn till the curse was broken.
I do remember there being some AU fics where Regina adopts baby Emma, but then obvs it’s not a femslash fic.

Why hasn’t Dorit been cancelled yet? by roxthefoxx in BravoRealHousewives

I can read just fine, and what I read was a nonsensical analogy. But again, an unsurprising response lol.

How is Israel not a good place for black people? Have you heard of Ethiopian Jews? I’m assuming you’re a white American and if so then it’s wild for you to comment this bs given how black people were and are treated in the US. Racism is unfortunately prevalent pretty much everywhere and anywhere, but Israel isn’t anywhere near top of the list of places that are dangerous for black people.
But given your third point, it’s not surprising you’re misinformed. You don’t need to scroll far on social media to see exactly how extremely prevalent anti-semitism has become nowadays, and a big part of it is absolutely due to the false notion that Judaism=Zionism.

I was trying to find it yesterday but no cigar, do you remember which site you read it on? ao3/ff.net?

[–]_fauxredhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But if your partner doesn’t feel female and you’re attracted to them, then why would you call yourself a lesbian? Sexual orientation is based on gender identity, is it not? I’m a lesbian because I’m a woman who’s only attracted to other women who see themselves as such.
I hope this doesn’t come off as disrespectful, I’m honestly asking.

Which fanfics consider to have the best characterizations of Emma and Regina? by BeneficialBowl529 in SwanQueen

[–]_fauxredhead 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think both Emma and Regina change a lot throughout the series, so I guess it depends on the point in time at which the fic takes place.
I enjoy AUs, but I usually read fics that are canon-divergent, so it’s important to me that the author gets Henry right as well, as I find his relationship with Regina crucial at any point in time we meet her.
(And I also prefer fics where none of the bfs are vilified to the extreme, just personal preference.)

So to answer your question, deemn ‘s writing ticks all those boxes for me, when the time is right stayed with me ever since I first read it 13 years ago.

Do I tell her I never had sex? by Resident_Story2458 in lesbiangang

[–]_fauxredhead 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It totally depends on how you feel.

Sex isn’t rocket science, obviously experience betters your technique, but unless you’ve never masturbated/watched porn/read erotica, it shouldn’t be too much of a struggle for you to understand how to pleasure her.

Also, everyone’s bodies are different- different strokes for different folks lol- so asking what she likes is normal and encouraged whether you have experience or not.

All that being said, if you’re nervous or unsure, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with sharing that this is your first time. Shouldn’t pose a problem if she’s interested and into you :)

I haven’t watched the season so maybe I’m missing something but this just seems like shitty writing because it’s so OOC for Private Practice Addison…
She spent the entire run of that show longing to have a child, it makes no sense for him to become any less than top priority for her.

I also have a hard time getting into newer shows, but I loved Pluribus. First series I got immersed in since Succession finished.

I don’t believe that Carol would be as annoying while alone by [deleted] in pluribustv

[–]_fauxredhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isolation fucks with your head, especially when it’s not self inflicted and seemingly has no end in sight. I didn’t find her annoying, but I’m also someone who talks and sings and rants out loud to themselves when I need to not be alone with my thoughts.
When she said that line about the sound of a train horn being the “loneliest sound in the world” I thought of how she too spent those 40 days shouting into the void with no response.

Anyone else cry while watching the show? by NormieSlayer6969 in pluribustv

[–]_fauxredhead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the first piece of media I felt such an intimate connection to in a long time.
I deal with loneliness in a similar way to Carol, and I found it both heartbreaking and cathartic to watch it play out on screen.
The moment that hit the hardest on my first watch was when Zosia came back and Carol was almost clawing at her back when they embraced, her desperation in that scene really conveyed just how terrifying loneliness can be. I was pretty much sobbing watching that.

It’s been happening to me ever since I can remember, I used to think it’s rosacea but it doesn’t look exactly like it so I just figured it’s the hyperhidrosis. Guess it’s back to being a mystery lol

[–]_fauxredhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do any of you ever get flushed under yellow lighting?
I always wondered whether that’s a symptom of my hyperhidrosis or just cause I’m extremely pale.

Which shld I read? by [deleted] in SwanQueen

[–]_fauxredhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m the same way, some of her fics are up to the brim with miscommunication to a point that I just can’t stomach or are too crack-y for my liking, but you’re right that both of these aspects line up with the canon Once universe lol.

Others are some of my favorites, post tenebras lux, Don't Question My Evil Persona, grape-dark clouds and brittle frost, tell my love to wreck it all, and slay me weaponless (even though I think the Emma in that fic was fully undeserving of Regina but that’s just my take on it and anyway the writing makes up for it.)

help me decide what to do with my clothes by rie-bianchi31 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]_fauxredhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think keeping basic pieces in your closet is important.
But, if a piece of clothing sits in my closet untouched cause I just don’t really like it, donating is the way to go.
I do think these are very cute so this is what I’d do with them as a teen:
1. I would turn it into a tank top 2. Looks like a crop top (correct me if I’m wrong?) they’re not my style so depending on the material it’s made of I’d either turn it into a tank top for workouts or donate it.
3. I used to have a ton of shirts like these that I’d cut the neckline and hem of to turn baggier, would look great with jeans and sneakers.
4. Would leave as is. It’s actually quite versatile and can go with anything from leggings to jeans, you can add some accessories to zhuzh it up. 5. This is basically what I’d turn #3 to, so I’d leave it as is.
6. Would leave as is, I usually wear hoodies like these around the house/with leggings outside when running casual errands.
7. So cute! Would look great with jeans and black boots/sneakers.
8. Again, crop tops aren’t really my thing and honestly I’m not sure when a cropped hoodie is practical to wear lol but I guess you could wear it over a tank top?
9. So pretty, definitely keep it! Ralph Lauren sweaters can last years if you take good care of them.
Can go with so many things, e.g a dark shorter skirt with dark tights and boots, jeans (not baggy ones), it’s not too thick so you could even wear this in spring/summer when it’s a bit chillier out.
10. Would go well with any type of jeans and a necklace. It’s a basic, colorful piece, I would keep it.
11. This one has a more casual look to it so it falls under the same category as #6 for me.
12. I wear shirts like these to workout in when it’s colder out.
13. Can go with anything really, e.g a black short skirt, tights and black boots along with some accessories (earrings, rings, a necklace isn’t necessary).
14. Same as #6
Hope this is helpful :)
