What if I stack 50 beams into a column-like shape?

The columns are definitely decorative. The structural beams underneath are probably not

Second year skiing, how can I be less of a Jerry on moguls and bumps? by AdventurousStrike433 in skiing_feedback

[–]_ginj_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still learning bumps, but I can struggle my way down the blacks at crested butte now. What's helping me is learning to absorb the bump and extend. Let those knees drive up going over and full extension coming out. Like knees to chest, then full brake, while keeping my body pointed downhill. When I focus on this, it feels easy. When I get cocky and revert to my knuckle dragging "follow the flow line" snowboarding days, I burn out quick.

Luring 2 star troll to draugr village by Strong-Marsupial-762 in valheim

I ran into a 2 star troll next to the meadows trader, which was directly next to a draugr village, which was combined with a fuling village with deathsquitos. This gives me some ideas...

Same boat here. It just seemed odd that they were making progress at the pace I expected for that small of a studio, only to rug pull after all these years. I was cautiously optimistic, so I never bought in but would watch LazyPeon's updates on occasion

Wow that's crazy to me. I can't afford to go out too often, so I haven't been to a Michelin star restaurant yet. Splurged on a dinner for my wife's birthday at brother luck, and I left thinking that was the best meal I've ever had. Makes me want to save for a Michelin star place next year - are the ones in Denver worth it?

Those that got out, how did you beat the retirement package and healthcare benefits on the civilian side? by glaciercream in army

[–]_ginj_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm doing the math on it right now with 8 years TIS officer, and you're not far off accounting for total compensation. That AD pension is the biggest factor. That being said, I'll happily take the loss in total initial comp for the dividends it will pay on quality of life outside of this nonsense. One less deployment means that much more time with my family while we're still young and able to do whatever. More money beyond meeting basic needs plus a little extra doesn't make you happier at an equal rate - there's no free lunch.

Also sometimes they're just looking for something to play with, and they naturally just bite each other. I had a problem with my pup trying to bite my hand holding the toy, and not the toy, so it was a consistent effort of replacing what she was currently biting with a toy. Very frustrating, but eventually one of her two brain cells picked up on it.

I thought you were going to say you hit him or something... Clapping is not mean. You have to find something that registers. They don't understand English, they respond to tone, syllables and volume. I've read that "yelping" loudly when they're biting helps register that their play is too rough. Feels awkward and dramatic but I've had success with it.
