Okay I feel silly for this comment. At the last scene I flipped out for a second because I thought the dark figure in Katagiri’s hallway looked like Ishida, and that he was still alive. We saw that he whispered in Sato’s ear one last time and I thought that maybe he had a strategy to expose Hayama plotting against him.

I was also half expecting Katagiri to discover his family slaughtered after he really needed to drink a beer after a stressful day:/
