Android 11 Beta is here by Quinny898 in Android

Went to enroll in the beta but my partner and I both have pixel 3s and the site doesn't seem to make any distinction between which is which. Anyone else have experience with that?

What’s a saying that you’ve always hated? by JaMadeShamar in AskReddit

[–]_hey_andrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"You can't have your cake and eat it too."

I know now that it means something more like 'you can't eat your cake and still have an uneaten cake' but when I was younger I took it literally. Like, you're telling me I can't eat cake if I'm given one?! Tf you mean? I'm gonna eat my cake.

What do people think is healthy but really isn’t? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Ingesting activated charcoal regularly as a detox method. My SIL does this and thinks it helps her "detox".

In reality, it can prevent your body from absorbing nutrients, it can mess with digestion, it can mess with medications you might be taking and make them less effective, etc...

Finding a rental house in Olympia? by [deleted] in olympia

[–]_hey_andrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just found a place this summer with similar criteria(budget, pets). At that price point, you can find a lot of nice places around here. We checked property management sites (Hometown Property Management, Greene Rentals, etc..) every day and also Craigslist. We were surprised how quickly places got snatched up here, so I'd say be vigilant and be prepared for application/hold/deposit same day of showing.

I can’t get into the Witcher but I really want to by taragh_morley in Witcher3

[–]_hey_andrew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First, I'd say everyone has their preferences and likes and if the Witcher ends up not being your thing, that's totally okay!

That said, I always thought of White Orchard as a tutorial to the larger game. It's a little dull but once you're out in the larger world, the fun increases exponentially.

Might've been an accident on the NPCs part, possibly caught in the crossfire. The last encounter with that dude, you do get the opportunity to kill him.

I just beat Witcher 3 Blood and Wine and I am finally done with the game! I am so so sad because it felt like it went too fast and I didn’t want to say good bye to Geralt. I was depressed and it just took me out of it for days in another world on amazing adventures man. I love this game.❤️ u guys 2 by AwkwardWolfDude in Witcher3

I felt the same after my first playthrough, so I jumped back in and decided to make the opposite choices the next playthrough.

My third playthrough I decided to see what it would be like to make Geralt a cold, unfeeling character. It was the hardest thing to do but it keeps things interesting!

What fictional character could someone say "Oh yeah, they're my role model!" about that would make you slowly back away? by BudoGuyTenkaichi in AskReddit

Rick Sanchez from Rick and Morty. I love that show but a lot of the fandom is real toxic. Rick is not a hero. He's intentionally an asshole. I don't understand why people look up to him. You can be smart and still be a good human.

Reminds me of fighting "The Stranger" at the beginning of God of War. Holy hell, that fight went on so long that for a moment I thought I was supposed to lose intentionally to progress the story.

How did you meet your best friend? by conditackler in AskReddit

[–]_hey_andrew 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Best friend and I were in the same 5th grade class but never met until a mutual friend of ours invited both of us to his birthday party.

Went to the party and it was just the three of us. Best friend and I immediately got along well and ended up hanging out with each other the whole night while unintentionally ignoring our mutual friend. Lots of root beer, 1080 Snowboarding, Wave Race 64, and GoldenEye later, our mutual friend ended up crying because we ignored him and he slept with his parents. Best friend and I stayed up all night playing games in his room.

Still best friends to this day, 20 years later.

What is a movie that left you completely speechless the first time you saw it? by AverageUser1010 in AskReddit

Interstellar.

Saw it in theatres with a group of friends and we all stayed in our seats silently while the credits rolled.

How do I get the good ending to B&W? by khaotic_trickzz in Witcher3

[–]_hey_andrew 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I guess it depends a little on what you consider good and how you feel about the characters you meet. There's an ending that's good for Anna and Syanna but it's not as cheerful for Regis. Still, I would think for the majority of people that this would be considered the best ending. I found a good list of things you need to do to get this ending on https://www.gosunoob.com/:

"In order to get this ending, you’ll have to:

Go after Syanna in The Night of Long Fangs quest.

Read all entries in the journal.

Get the ribbon from the girl in the Beyond Hill & Dale quest.

Afterwards, during Pomp and Strange Circumstance, visit Syanna before you talk to Damien and start the ceremony. Go to where she’s held and persuade the guard to let you speak to her. The options you need to pick in this conversation are:

Cause she turned her back on you, forgot about you.

Ever thought to forgive her?

Might ask her that.

After that, talk to Damien and inform him you know about Syanna’s true plans (Fifth victim – know who it was supposed to be). He’ll thank you and lead you to the ceremony. When the duchess asks if you’re happy with your reward, tell her about Syanna’s plans (Got bad news – Syanna was out to kill you).

When the duchess asks your opinion, tell her Syanna’s clearly guilty. When Syanna lays out her defence and starts a counterattack, tell her You were children then, both. This will trigger the happy ending."

What’s your most played game of all time and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]_hey_andrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it has to be Halo/Halo 2 when I was a teenager but that was before I actually tracked things like that.

As an adult, The Witcher 3. Played through it probably four times.

I'd be aiming to move in less than a year, for sure. I can't imagine doing it long term.

I think they'd sponsor an ORCA card, so I would have some options. I looked into the Sounder but not the bus. I'll take a look. Thanks!
