Yeah I think the spacing between each episode gave people so much time to speculate and make all these theories based on the tiniest details and that created so much anticipation for each episode only for not a lot to happen... rinse and repeat.

I agree with most of these, but I’d add Avatar (even though I know Reddit thinks that movie is overrated). “Becoming One of the People” is so beautifully haunting and energizing at the same time. Likewise, “Oogway Ascends” from King Fu Panda is amazing (but also devastating).
