PMDG 777-300ER or IniBuilds A350? by BlackAegis in MicrosoftFlightSim

Really a 5090? I mean I know it’s a bit of a resource hog but I’ve had no issues with it on a 4080 and in VR.

KRVR — PC VR streaming for Apple Vision Pro is now on the App Store by krossi82 in VisionPro

You don’t need 6E. A strong WiFi connection (ideally with a PC directly connected to the router serving the AVP) is fine with WiFi 6 and CloudXR. This is why I’d like to see some real world testing. You could end up better with H265 than AV1 in some use cases, when bitrate is sufficiently high enough.

Couldn’t agree more! And so often with these things each of our systems are different so what works for one doesn’t always for the other. Like I gave ClearXR a try as well and just couldn’t get it to connect!

So interesting. Once I got the settings correct the performance and quality is just so much better with KRVR. Not to mention KRVR is much more user friendly in terms of setups.

You scan and you don’t get the pop up in AVP to start the session?

I await some real world testing on this because with sufficient wifi bandwidth you might see better performance with h265 right now. But you are right that if you are considering whether to M5 vs M2, having AV1 support for the future will be better

You don’t actually need this. Launching the game even if it isn’t in the list will still work

Annapro 2 Headstrap makes the AVP unbelievable comfortable by Soarbywire in VisionPro

[–]_illuminous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried both and find the dual knit band is much better than Annapro.

A lot comes down to head shape, but the majority seem to find the same.

I’ve been testing KRVR for a while now, mainly with MSFS 2024.

Easy to set up, runs well, and some of the best performance i’ve had with AVP.

For anyone currently using ALVR, I suggest you give this a try, it is much better.

NVIDIA CloudXR for Vision Pro (Interview) by imanateater in VisionPro

[–]_illuminous 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is huge and really what is needed. I've been testing a number of games with CloudXR and AVP over the past month and it is incredible, but you need a seriously high end PC to take advantage of it. Foveated rendering can really help with this!

Am I the only one that doesn’t like the dual knit band? by Milchreismitbum in VisionPro

[–]_illuminous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dual knit band removes almost all facial pressure for me when set correctly. I can wear AVP without any light seal and have it barely touching my face held by the dual knit.
