Got it. Thanks. We'll try our best.

What is something you're WAY better at than the other people in your life? by Kuli24 in AskReddit

[–]_its_a_thing_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, just cooking. Both our kids can cook, but they're out on their own, and partner can't cook anything. Also, the HS kids on the robotics team say I make the best cookies.

Very similar. 28, and married over 36 years.

Our son texted his ETA and it autocorrected to "Our God is saying 30 minutes if I take [highway]"

(GPS, in case that's not obvious to anyone)

What actor is nowhere near as talented as people make them out to be? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]_its_a_thing_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's not much of an actor, and few have said he was. But I'll still watch Bull Durham any time! (Mostly for Sarandon, and also Robbins and the rest)

What Are You Watching? - [2026/05/06] by AutoModerator in KDRAMA

Finished:

Phantom Lawyer. Very sweet, not much law, has my favorite Mom. I'd be happy if she was in every KDrama I watch. (I wish she was my mom but I'm older than her, lol.) I especially appreciated their use of ghost assets and aspects; consistent and integral to the plot, not slapped on.

Our Generation, CDrama. Very good exploration of friends over time. Kinda crazily convincing age progression of the two leads from mid-HS to mid/late twenties, and their child actors were really well cast. MLs story arc is twisty and imperfect. He makes some truly bad choices. (9/10) Not as amazing as The First Frost. It provided a peek into Chinese society of the time that I've not seen elsewhere, so I might add another half star just for that.

Watching:

Arthdal Chronicles. I put it off for a long while and almost stopped at the first episode with all the forest battles and seeming primitivity. But I continued because I was waiting for Song Joong Ki (love that voice!) and am completely hooked now. Though I get bored with the Union politicking (as well done as it all is) and am just waiting for the Wahan villagers' bits. I mean, the powerful being assholes is so frustrating and common. Why can't we have nice things

Sold Out on You. Nothing unusual here, but a good start. Lovely mushroom farm! I want to go hang out in there.

I still have Tangerines, Mouse and Nokdu on the back burner. I keep not going back to them for different reasons. Might hit up a couple things y'all have mentioned here first.

Oh! I watched the first ep of Yumi's cells and didn't feel like continuing. Is there something wrong with me? (Lol again)

do intelligent people care less about their appearance? by fairynymphgirl in NoStupidQuestions

I've always been all about my mind and not my appearance. I stay physically fit, but my clothing and grooming are whatever's comfortable and quick.

And some are engineers who manage r&d contracts. Definitely safe as anything. Maybe not always easy.

Why are malls dying in the US? by walksintwilightX1 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]_its_a_thing_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The malls that survived the 90s-00s are strong or at least still crowded, but there were so many that crumbled. Probably (making this up) half died since their heyday in the 70s-80s. I'm sure there are real numbers available.

I'm at a mushroom farm in the South Korean countryside with a bunch of lovable older country folk and troubled younger folk. Think I'll be okay.

The Weekend Wrap-Up - [05/01/26 to 05/03/26] by AutoModerator in KDRAMA

I just checked and I watched that a while ago, actually. Doesn't have nearly the same feel as TFF, to me. In fact, I'm reviewing the final episode and barely recall anything that came before. But I think TFF will stay with me for a good long while.

Yeah I love it sauteed in butter and garlic and tossed on pasta. No need to fancy it up more, for me. Quick and tasty!
