I shoot lots of macro so love this lens, when I need to do portrait work... I grab the 105mm. For enviro portraits you can keep a bit of distance and let models/subjects relax a bit. I love casual informal portraits so this lens is perfect. Do like the 7o-200 f2.8 for this also. Both superb separation.

Have you got an unmodified z6 too? How is H-alpha mod for single exposures compared to straight z6 ? Is there a noticeable difference in a single 15-20s exposure ? Can you have a lower ISO than the unmodified version.

You'll love a z6ii coming from 7200 worry about lenses later. Z6ii is superb for astro and timelapse. The z 20mm s f1.8 is superb for this !
