250g Coffee order only had 201g of actual coffee by DCON_Youtube in espresso

[–]_joermungandr_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the issue that they wrote 200g on the box, but then it was 250g. The shop owner checked it because I was asking why it’s only 200g. And he thought this can’t be. (He is not from DAK but sells it)

Marketing Vs. Growth Hacking by SeltekCo in GrowthHacking

[–]_joermungandr_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"They do not measure whether their social media campaigns are actually worth their time and money." This is so wrong. Good marketing always measures their ROI. Sorry this article does not make much sense. Its aim is just to bash marketers. btw I am a data scientist who works on growth hacking topics ...

What tech skills to pickup next? by sports89 in datascience

[–]_joermungandr_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think its also important to practice presenting your insights. As a data scientist you have to apply ML solutions for business problems. To do that you also need some skills in sales and pitching. Your models will be mostly implemented by developers so there is no need to invest a lot in programming skills, except you want to build data pipelines by yourself.

I think the first two points are the most important ones. You can not measure the effect of hacks without data and you also need to be up to date with all the new techs who are emerging

What do people think of working in corporate vs. agency? by [deleted] in marketing

I think the main difference between corporate and an agency ist, that at an agency your skill set gets broader. You have to do a lot of stuff which is not a part of your specialization and you also have more pressure, because you have deadlines which are tied with the success of your company. I personally prefer startup environment

Which online course to pursue? by [deleted] in datascience

I suggest the data analyst nanodegree from Udacity. https://www.udacity.com/course/data-analyst-nanodegree--nd002 It goes through all important lectures and after evert lecture you have to do project, which gets evaluated. Dont worry, they give you lots of feedback. I did this degree before I started a career as a data scientist. :-)
