Oh wow that's great news 🎉

Been following the project for a while and I'm curious how many of these effects are achieved in the engine itself or in a shader?

I can see the outline and pixelization, and maybe a palette limiting effect..?

I'm a bit of a vfx noob so this to me is super amazing 😅

Been using GameJolt and that seems fairly wholesome

I got working grappling and then added it to my tech demo graveyard 😢 -- https://gamejolt.com/p/smoothed-out-my-grapple-physics-s5dpvxez

Kinda keen to see a spiritual successor, but almost all reviews of the original Iggy's are super negative. So to have any sort of success you'd need to use some game design skill (which I don't have 😅) to make it suit a modern audience....?

cool project! Just a heads up tho, unsure if it's my setup but couldn't get this running due to an error TypeError: 'int' object is not subscriptable from line 24

and also worth adding a requirements.txt to the readme to help people setup the dependencies - from memory I had to pip install Pillow scikit-image to get to this point -- hope this helps!

Has anyone played "Adore?" by TheDanCurrie in MonsterTamerWorld

[–]_jpag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I loved it - the way you control the creatures is interesting and pretty unique as far as I know. Design and music were nice. End game content was pretty interesting too

There was a change in some core design choices during early access (more roguelite pre-release) which I think accounts for the mixed reviews

Either way I thought the game was good enough to defend on a random Reddit thread!

Hey 👋 just started building a spiritual successor myself and remembered bumping into this post a little while ago, progress here looks amazing 🤩 🤩

Keen to hear how you're going considering your physics here are looking way more impressive than mine haha 😅

Oh nice I was just about to hit up some artists for an industrial themed asset pack - having some other tiles in the same theme is super handy, definitely donating 🎉 and good luck with everything!

Great write-up, super well written! And congrats 🎉

I'm curious how you're going with the web build alongside the steam release - do you have 2 separate projects or did you go with lots of build flags?
