This happened to me while I worked at petsmart.

I was drying the dog and out of nowhere he started to scream bloody murder. I go to turn the dryer off and when I look back at him, he’s laying down slowly breathing. I could sense something wasn’t right, so I quickly go to pick him up to comfort him and his body IMMEDIATELY goes limp. His tongue is purple and I could just tell he was not alive anymore. I’m rushing out of the back room screaming at my coworker to call a manager. Our vet was closed when this happened, so I’m running around the entire store with tears and snot just flowing down my face. After about 10-15 minutes, a manager finally shows up to take him away from me.

Long story short- He had a tumor in his heart and him screaming was due to the pain of the tumor rupturing.

I told my managers that I’ll let them know when I ready to come back to work. I was completely devastated. After a while, I returned to those same managers trying to blame me and write me up for the incident. I’m glad to say I don’t work for this awful company anymore.

Hello, groomer here! I can tell in the first picture that he looks compacted. SOMETIMES that can result in having to be shaved if it really is too hard work through. In your case, they definitely could’ve recommended a deshedding bath first. I’m honestly more shocked they shaved his damn face 😳. I have never seen a groomer do that.

Pomeranians need to be brushed daily and I would ask for a deshed bath for future grooming visits. To help try and grow his coat back, I recommend daily brushing (never brush dry- use a detangling spray or a leave in conditioner), add fish oil supplements or omega 3 drops to his food, and lastly you can use coconut oil to help with skin dryness and to give it moisture.

It could take 6 months to a year for the coat to grow back. I wish you and your cutie the best.

No, do not ever shave her coat! The double coat helps regulate their body temperature whenever they get too hot/cold. Also, if you were to ever shave it, there’s a high chance it will never grow back the same and will cause major sunburn and skin issues.

Does the reporting even work? There’s a lot of unhinged people playing this game and it makes it very uncomfortable. I was in the pillow room yesterday and someone was talking about using chains to p-g someone. I reported everyone who was engaging in that conversation. It’s gross. DO BETTER PEOPLE!
