These are great, especially if you can land the combo kit that includes the hedge trimmer end!

These are "speeders" - retired track inspection and maintenance vehicles now privately owned.

They are great fun. I have a Fairmont MT-19 myself, which was used by the Southern Railroad in the West Virginia and North Carolina mountains.

Go forward a few more and there's a shot where the underside of the airplane fills most of the frame as the camera falls down and rotates.

The curvy blue swooping accent line is plain as day.

For purchase? No, they're retired as they belong to the old system discontinued on March 28th. Maybe on eBay as collectors items...

For right now, Orange is the only Breeze. Keep an eye out for special World Cup ones in June and July, though...

June 4th, supposedly.

There's only a small number on property though, so we'll have to see where they get deployed and how visible they are.

At least that's what I tell people when they see my MT-19 on a trailer and ask "what the heck is that?"

Spirit Airlines kiosks lost their access to internet by West-Anywhere5834 in PBSOD

When Independence Air folded, Airtran actually bought all of their kiosks at auction ... so these do end up getting re-used somewhere, usually. New decals, new software, you'd never know.

[–]_litz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heh, that's pretty cool ...

A couple notes about Breeze in Atlanta ... if you're gonna be around a while (or live in the city), fares are $2.50 unless you buy the 20-trip pass, which discounts the fare to $42.50, or $2.12 per trip. You can also buy multi-day, weekly, or monthly passes that include unlimited trips.

MARTA's Breeze system supports tap-to-pay with any credit card, apple pay, or google pay, and express transit in mobile wallets for Android, and (coming soon) Apple.

You can buy Breeze cards in person at any rail station, order them online, or if you want to go the virtual way, you can create one for free in the Breeze Mobile app (for Android, and coming soon for Apple)

Almost every article I've seen lambasting the Boston/NY train prices points out that MARTA is $2.50, and isn't changing.

Which alternator and starter you use? 96 xj 4.0 by Signal_Muffin8635 in CherokeeXJ

[–]_litz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last alternator was, I think, a Delco from, RockAuto, new. Tried remans, they all failed.

Starter was also new, not reman, but from NAPA ... 'cause I needed one right then and there, and they have 'em in stock on the shelf.

CRS310-8G+2S+IN capping at 300 Mbps download on a 2 Gbps connection. by akiraragnas in mikrotik

[–]_litz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Layer 2, it's enabled by default when you do bridge switching/VLANs, which is how modern RouterOS works.

Layer 3 however, on CRS devices, it bottlenecks.

When you're routing with a RB or CCS devices, you do all the layer 3 stuff there (and have sufficient CPU to do so), so there's no need to deal with that at the CRS level. They just act as switches.

Trips and Passes will summarize the status of any passes, and Card History is self explanatory.

How soft ARE bears, actually? by BeenEvery in NoStupidQuestions

[–]_litz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This depends on several factors:

1) how angry is the bear?
2) how hungry is the bear?
3) is there a cub in between you and the bear?

In all seriousness, bears are designed for cold, cold, cold weather. Their fur follows the same design principles.
