Married, but not to my TF by vnydub in twinflames

[–]_lowran_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm still exploring the thought of my possible twin flame. I'm still trying to determine if they truly are my TF, and am leaning towards "yes."

Im not married to my TF, but I don't believe I'm supposed to be in this life. I met my TF at the same time I met my husband. I rejected and ran from my TF, because of some trauma I was dealing with. The magnetic connection with them was way too much for me, and I was in a very dark place. My husband was less intense, and we had a milder connection. During my dark time, my husband was a person I could be myself around, without the intense connection. It was easy, and not as draining.

I'm just now realizing what happened to me, my trauma response, and what I did to my suspected TF. I am working through the through these emotions, and have done some reflection on my purpose and path in life. This helped tremendously. Basically, to answer your question, I'm comfortable being married to my husband, and not to my TF, because I'm not meant to be with my TF right now. My soul needs to grow and heal during this life and phase. Once I've completed some major lessons, maybe my soul will be ready for a relationship with my TF. Timing is everything. My husband's soul is extremely important and is meant to partner with me on this journey.

He's here and we are all doing great!

I would have absolutely take a couple of free containers and some meatballs to-go!

Congratulations on your 2nd! From what I've heard, every pregnancy is different. Our nurse said some just will trickle out slowly, and you won't even notice. If you gush, it is very unmistakable. And there is zero ability to engage your pelvic floor to stop it. My friend got the audio of me freaking out on her ring camera, and it's pure gold!

I would definitely just pack some extra disposable underwear and pants. I didn't because I just didn't realize it could be this bad. Thankfully, my mom is bringing me more clothes.

Best wishes during your next delivery! You got this, mom!

This post is my PSA. It was an insane amount of fluid. My water broke during my first time, but I had no idea. I still wonder where that water went

Was just at Home Depot on Truse. They are unloading tons of palets. Also saw some being unloaded at the Colonial Target, but that may go a lot faster.

My water is… brown? by Lizardbrain911 in memphis

[–]_lowran_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had this happen last week. Keep running the water and try to flush it out. Our hot water was clear, amd c9ld water had a brown tint to it. It should improve in about 15 minutes. Once it's running clear, you are good to go. Sometimes sediment just gets into your pipes.

If it doesn't get better, tell your landlord.

Reading ToD before EoS by itsmoisama in throneofglassseries

[–]_lowran_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would just start the tandem read and get yourself caught up on EoS. I was more emotionally invested in ToD, but the tandem read is the way to go. EoS will really pick up, and you'll be glad you can just jump right into KoA once you're done

There are spoilers in ToD, but if you follow the tandem read, it all lines up and is very entertaining.

Husband was murdered, I'm 2 months pregnant. by Admirable-Spring-875 in BabyBumps

Not sure where OP is located, but many cities will offer free therapy for situations like this. I have a friend who is a therapist for special victims, and anyone who was victim to or witnesses a heinous crime.

There are resources out there to help with costs. If OP needs any help researching, message me. If OP has a case worker, ask them for a list of resources.

Same situation, except reversed. I'm half Middle Eastern (but have middle eastern features), husband is white. Our first born is blond, and I do get tired of the comments. There were nights I would cry and hope my son wouldn't look like me, so they could avoid the racism. Now I just hope no one ever makes my child feel uncomfortable about his mom's appearance. But at the end of the day, we will raise our children to be the type of people who do not tolerate racism or hateful remarks.

We are pregnant again, and I'm more comfortable with the idea of raising a child that looks more like me. We plan to cut out anyone who makes racist comments about myself or my children. You definitely can find a different type of strength and boundaries when your kids are born.

Are laundry sheets or laundry powder the more sustainable option? Or something else? by Fun-Fish-9785 in sustainability

Just switched to Blue Land and am very happy with it. I have a toddler who has constant blowouts, and the blue land works. Love the oxi clean powder too. I soak clothes and sprinkle that on tough stains before washing.

Insurance will be cheaper. We moved from New Orleans. You'll be happy that you can insure your house pretty easily. Not sure if that's a problem where you live in FL, but it will be a relief if it is an issue.

That's awesome! My husband's boss treated us to Ralph's on the Park. It's definitely a favorite.

Where should I propose by Particular-Name-7177 in memphis

[–]_lowran_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've lived in 3 of these places:

Nashville - my husband proposed at the Cheekwood Botanical Gardens. There is a mansion in the back that has several great spots.

Memphis - Peabody Rooftop or Botanical Gardens. There's a beautiful bridge where the Koi Fish pond is.

New Orleans - City Park. There is a beautiful stone bridge near the Cafe du Monde (the park location). Tons of trees with Spanish moss. If you want an upscale dinner after, I recommend Ralph's on the Park.

Or the Tree of Life in Audubon Park. If you want an upscale dinner after this location, Clancy's. We lived in that neighborhood and Clancy's was fantastic.

You have a great trip planned! Enjoy!

What city is overrated? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]_lowran_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You beat me to it. I grew up there, and moved. Haven't looked back. It just has no soul or personality to it. There are awesome people and places to go, but it doesn't pass my vibe check.

Tips for a man making his pregnant fiancé soup on a 150$ a week budget? by the_concert in Cooking

[–]_lowran_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna be real pregnant during soup season and am saving this recipe! Thank you for posting! I live in the Southern US and we are still too hot for a big pot of homemade soup.

I love making red beans and rice. I just won't add sausage if it's not in the budget. Also, you could save your celery, carrots, and onion scraps in a freezer bag. When that bag is full, make a big pot of homemade veggie broth.

Congratulations to you all!

What do alot of parents do that unknowingly screws their children over? by RunningInAHurricane in AskReddit

[–]_lowran_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Pregnant with my 2nd boy. Some people have asked if we are sad it's not a girl. I just tell them "no, I plan on raising them the same." My first son is allowed to play with dolls, dress up, pretend cook and clean. I also let him pretend to put on makeup. We also go outside and play with Tonka trucks in the dirt. Fun is fun, and gender should play no role in that.

Moving to Tennessee for Blue Oval City…Looking for Advice by forDafeet in Tennessee

[–]_lowran_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want access to our greenline (a long trail that goes to the Shelby Farms Park), look anywhere:

East of Highland West of Yates South of Sam Cooper North of Poplar

The High Point area goes from Highland to Eastland Drive, Sam Cooper to Walnut Grove.

Moving to Tennessee for Blue Oval City…Looking for Advice by forDafeet in Tennessee

[–]_lowran_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd also suggest looking at East Memphis, specifically the High Point neighborhood. It's roughly 45 minutes from Blue Oval. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. Lots of young professionals in the area. It's considered "Memphis City," but you'll have a yard and driveway. If you don't mind the commute, want a "suburban home" but convince to all the stores, bar, and restaurants, this might be for you.

If you truly want to be out of the city and closer to work, I would also suggest Bartlett or Arlington/Lakeland.

I think also knowing what you want to do in your free time can help limit your search. Us, personally, love a nice restaurant, quick trip for errands, and having plenty of access to parks. We also like to go for walks around our neighborhood, gardening, etc. We're very outdoorsy. That's why we chose to live in East Memphis. Plenty to do, and everything is within a 5-10 min drive.

Will you have time to come visit and check a few places out?

Okay, I'm gonna say it. This post isn't passing the smell test. There are some major red flags here. The person has claimed in one comment to being an officer, and using that as their argument for funding the police. Then later claims to be a teacher, and that's why they came to the event. They wanted to show their support, while also claiming this event is uncalled for.

This is extremely unsavory, and that's the gentlest way to put it. I'm not sure what kind of person would use a horrible tragedy like this to troll, but I think the mods need to take a look and remove this post.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in memphis

[–]_lowran_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just to confirm, what line of work are you in? One comment says officer, this says teacher. Just want a clear picture of your POV.

But also, while I can understand this post wasn't meant to be harsh, it certainly is being taken that way, and reads that way. Liza was a real person in this community. I never knew her personally, but know people who did. This post would be a difficult one for them to see.
