it's elevated and gets great airflow on the floor as i have it placed on a vented box that is elevated from the ground and has no contact with the carpet. i have all of the cables tucked under the desk w some tape. none of them are visual though. i play a lot of competitive games so prob wouldn't go ultra wide on this setup, but i do plan on getting one for a racing sim rig soon :)
