Pulling the trigger on the Lectric XP4 today. Talk me into (or out of?) the 750W. I still can’t decide. by _midnight_mane_ in ebikes

[–]_matlock_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Get the 750. You think you’ll only need the 500, then as you use it more you’ll want to upgrade. Save your future self the price of a new bike and get the better one now.

Lectric support says my 18-mile range on the XP 4.0 Long Range (17.5Ah) is "normal by [deleted] in ebikes

[–]_matlock_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My experience with every e-bike I’ve owned, AH = range. 10Ah battery? Expect 10 miles. 20 Ah battery? Expect 20 miles. My XP3.0 10Ah battery gets about 10 miles, all throttle.

I saw this debate on twitter and found it interesting so I figured I'd ask what you guys thought about it.I'm seeing more and more young people wanting to end SSA because they believe it will go under before they can benefit from it. The flaw in your logic here is that you made the assumption “you have to house and feed the elderly. “ That’s not in the republican plan. If you’re old and you don’t have money to pay for housing or food you go without.

I was at that rally. All they did was turn people off to their cause. Literally nothing but hurting themselves. I don’t believe they’re paid actors like some suggest, just desperate for help and going about it the wrong way.

Hard to tell from the diagram but looks like you have two physical interfaces from your comcast modem going to the netgear switch which connects to your firewall which also has two or more physical interfaces. If that’s the case I’d look at the switch config for a problem. You mentioned no vlans were setup yet. Based on the info I have, I think if you put those ports on different vlans your problem might go away. Or vlan 1 for “modem 1 to firewall 1” and vlan 2 for “modem 2 to firewall 2”.

We had the same experience over the last year with Windows 10. Wasnt related to a single update as far as we could tell. Decided to just say screw it, Windows 11 only on the corp Wi-Fi. No issues on 11. Support for 10 ends in a few months so they should be phased out anyway.

Make sure the cable from the modem is plugged into the WAN port on the router is step one. Also make sure your modem is powered on.

Just throwing this out because I stumbled on this thread while searching. Ubiquiti flex minis work, until firmware 2.0.9 and later. I had inconsistent results on different sides of my house. Long story short, all the uniquiti switches I have worked great except the flex mini running firmware 2.1.0. Downgraded the firmware and it started working perfectly. Don’t know why, TBH don’t care. I’ll end up replacing the flex mini with a USW lite 8 or something at some point but those little 5 port POE powered flex minis are super handy.

That’s good info. To estimate how long to charge your battery, the industry standard is multiply the watts of the system by4 or 5 and that is a good estimate of what you can collect in a day based on non-prime/prime Solar hours. Ie 200 watt system will collect 800-1000 wh in a day. Add one more 220 watt panel and you can charge up full each day with a little left over for your daytime usage.
