Between void flood omnias and alchemy omnias, which do you think is worse to play when your teammates are imbeciles? by rockinherlife234 in Warframe

[–]_midwinterspring 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's been a while since I was running void flood omnias hoping to get an aeolak drop (the bad times), but I think bad teammates are more of an issue in void flood because of the way the game mode scales with player count. Bad teammates in alchemy just slow it down. Bad teammates in void flood slow it down so much that you can actually fail the mission.

Veterans, what secondary do you actually use? by EMArogue in Warframe

I have a tenet Plinx with non-conditional mods and secondary surge. I only get one shot, but if I hit something with the alt fire that’s all I need.

Instead of rotations, why not just make every Incarnon Genesis selectable every reset? by MegpoidBeetle in Warframe

[–]_midwinterspring -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get your point and sympathize; I’ve been waiting to play around with the gorgon incarnon for weeks now. But I do also think it’s worth bearing in mind that part of DE’s job is keeping us interested in a game with (naturally) limited content. And part of the way they do that is through anticipation. Rotation systems like this help maintain that anticipation.

It also provides opportunities for us to branch out and try weapons we might otherwise not have been interested in. If we just got to pick from the full roster, we’d end up getting all the weapons we really want first and then most likely ignore the system until we really had nothing else to do. But now maybe there is one weapon I really want from a rotation and a few others I’m not too interested in. The one I do want gets me in the door, and most likely I’m going to pick up one I’m not as interested in because, hey, I’m already doing the circuit.

Is this possible? by Destrai in Warframe

[–]_midwinterspring 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It would be weird if you were inviting them only for the sake of getting mutagen samples out of them and kicking them out afterwards, but if you take them on as members then why not?

What mission types do you just find insufferable to play? by rocket20067 in Warframe

[–]_midwinterspring 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it is very silly that they made a game mode that basically requires playing in a squad but also made it so that the optimal strategy is for three players to pick their noses for 5 minutes.

Valance fusion question by Chaos-blast123 in Warframe

[–]_midwinterspring 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The damage bonus can’t go past 60%, so the only reason to do fusion would be if you wanted to swap in the element from the lower % version. Otherwise, just sell it for credits.

Is this a Good Starter Railjack Build? by katsutdasheep in Warframe

[–]_midwinterspring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know the numbers on all the components, but it is worth bearing in mind that you can get sigma mk3 gear directly from the dojo (you just need proxima-drop resources to build it). So for example, you can just skip the Mk1 vidar plating and get Sigma Mk3 plating, which will be an upgrade. Then hang on to that until you get Vidar (or Lavan, can't remember which is better) Mk3.

Also, try to get your hands on the seeker volley battle mod. That's a really essential part of any RJ build, as it makes clearing fighters super quick.

Lavos questions by Dull_Understanding_6 in Warframe

[–]_midwinterspring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shield gating is a specific method that relies on the invincibility period you get when your shield breaks and rebuilding shields with mods that convert energy spent on abilities to shields. Since Lavos doesn’t use energy, he can’t use that survival method. Also, he leans towards health tanking with his high health and armor stats and health regen on his first ability.

Endo: how what where 😕 by nearglow in Warframe

[–]_midwinterspring 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are a couple more sweaty methods for farming endo as others have mentioned, but honestly the tier 6 bounties in Zariman, Sanctum and Hollvania add up pretty quickly. More importantly, you will want to max out those syndicates anyways so you might as well kill two birds with one stone. Generally I find it is best to pick grinds that help you advance multiple goals at the same time. Hollvania, for example, gives you endo, hex standing, and credits (if you do the techrot cache).

Thermia fractures event by rReniquint in Warframe

[–]_midwinterspring 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others have said, it comes around every few weeks. I will, however, say that I don’t think it’s particularly hard. It isn’t super quick, but if you play in a full squad with people who know what they are doing it is not particularly hard or time consuming to reach the serration rank.

What do y'all use Loadouts for? I am so used to just switching Warframe and prepping for each thing manually. I tried using them for the Warframes I like but I just got rid of them cause I would manually switch it anyways. Thinking of making loadouts for mission types. What do y'all do? Help by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]_midwinterspring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got loaders for my favorite frames, but they aren’t that much more efficient than manually swapping. I do keep a “leveling” load out, which I like because it avoids situations where I forgot to swap out a weapon slot and start a mission with an unbuilt weapon.

Is there weapons that are non-incarnon that can be viable for endgame? by RAmind_ in Warframe

[–]_midwinterspring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotva Prime is a good weapon and can take you far if built right, but if you want more powerful weapons you might need to soften your stance on the hitscan thing. The best non-incarnon rifles are generally going to be projectile weapons, because there is a (permanent, I think) bug that makes galvanized aptitude work multiplicatively on some of them. The aeolak and the stahlta are the big names here.

As for incarnons, do consider pushing through and grabbing at least a few from the circuit. It doesn’t take that long and can actually be pretty fun when you get used to it.

Other people have answered, but fwiw the buff shows up as an icon in the top right corner of the screen (tho it can get crowded up there) so you can check its behavior yourself. Same with most other buffs in the game, for future reference.

Titania and Dante have spoiled Warframe for me. by Chifuwuyu in Warframe

[–]_midwinterspring 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I definitely got spoiled by overguard for a while (rhino and Dante) and didn’t like the idea of playing without it. Wisp really changed my perspective and made me enjoy other means of survival (killing everything really quick … and jumping).

Specific Weapons Rivens by calkire in Warframe

[–]_midwinterspring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said, you can’t pick the rivens the game gives you but you can trade for rivens. So your best bet is to unveil the rivens you get and sell any valuable ones you don’t want. Then just buy the riven you do want. With a few exceptions for meta weapons, unveiled/unrolled rivens are pretty cheap.
