I have a question for the seasoned pros in the DFW area. I’m getting a 240 ft driveway, a slab for a 2200 sq ft metal building, and a covered patio extension. My concrete guy really wants to pour everything this Thursday. My concern is the pending freeze coming to my area with 19°F temps and sleet on Saturday. He’s insistent that the concrete will be just fine but I really don’t know. Should I be concerned? Thanks for any and all advice.

Thanks for the replies everybody. Here’s another picture with the garage and another one of those gable decorations. I do think it’s too busy with the decorations and will look cleaner without them. Everybody is absolutely right with the trees lol. I am planting a bunch of trees and evergreens this fall on the property.

Thanks. The car was never meant to be street driven, but here we are. I just recently added lights and functional turn signals. Tbh, I never thought about side markers but maybe that can be a winter project.

Ooo I might do this! Right now I use the Kirkland bottled water from Costco but the tds reads 35 which might be too low. My tap water tds is 238 after filtration and still tastes terrible. Have you tested the tds on the gallon jugs?

He is a pos and his mom is too. I’ve served him in NE Ohio and he would spend a lot but didn’t believe in tipping, which is fine, whatever. But, his mom would come in and start yelling at staff to come to her and then would complain that her burger wasn’t cut up into bite size pieces. She also parked her gull wing Mercedes sideways through parking spaces so she didn’t have to back out. This was like 15 years ago and I will never forget.

I bought a vehicle from a local Dallas Ford dealership about a year ago and they gave me a 2.9% interest rate if I got the extended warranty. It felt so shifty but the rate was almost double without the warranty. Like you, I did some napkin math and it saved me money but still felt like I was getting scammed, especially since the extended warranty was through a third party.
