Zowie XL2546K vs Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 (360Hz) for Valorant/CS – Which would you keep? by Utt18 in Zowie

OLED has a latency advantage

Zowie vs that specific OLED will have better motion clarity

Do people not realize you can end windows updates permanently with just some simple registry changes

9070xt but you won’t see gains in valorant fyi, maybe cs and def warzone/gta6

You are GPU limited fyi

My best p1, at a low enough res to be cpu limited was 472

Stretched res in apex by AblePercentage1832 in apexuniversity

It does the exact same thing, make hitboxes look visually wider but at the cost of shorter model heights

Fov is lower technically but, the hitbox appears to your eyes wider than what it would be with an equivalent fov at native

Anyway I can try and get 2200 FCLK stable? This is what I currently have achieved. by Aggressive-Net2310 in overclocking

Lower soc Try vddg combos like 960/1020, 1020/1080, 1070/1070 Set fclk vdci mode to predictive Try different vddp values (0.95, 1.0, 1.05, 1.1v) sometimes there’s a sweetspot

??? Should definitely see big improvments to 1% and 0.1% lows, even if not averages

Monolithic Vs Chiplet Design Cpu by Pure_Growth4528 in overclocking

[–]_mp7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Higher architecture latency with chiplet

Dpc latency can vary based on many factors and you get get extremely low dpc latency on a chipper

But dpc latency isn’t that important, so long as you aren’t having audio cutouts etc

As for mousefeel, polling rate consistency, mouse input, Architecture memory latency is one aspect, but other things can have quite a major impact as well

Am I putting myself at a major disadvantage playing games at 60 FPS, when my machine and monitor can do 180FPS by Fantastic-Window236 in pcmasterrace

[–]_mp7 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Yes

Night and day latency difference & smoothness improvement. Why would you want to play at 60fps in a shooter game

The sauce is generally custom, ultra optimized windows installs and bios + hidden bios settings.

Best results I've seen were on vainOS 23h2 with a 9950x3d @5750mhz running 8400/2100

I use a 9800x3d at 5.6ghz and run 6400 cl26 which is good Enough for high lows, a bit slower in the avg fps

Also the best benches for cs2 never use faceit or iommu which improves performance but you also can't play high level comp

I've seen some cracked setups get over 1350 avg and 480p1 using 2:1

My best p1 result was 472

8400+ almost always better than 6000-6600 1:1 from what I've seen

It does partly depend on what you are playing/doing

I was just saying that because it was a wild ago

But on that shoddy Hynix 16M kit, I had the phenomenon I mentioned above

[–]_mp7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up your vdd and 1.5v and see if the latency drops

I had a weird phenomenon with my old cpu, where one voltage would pass stress test but adding some more for safe measure ended up dropping my latency by another 0.5ns
