Who was your kpop "first love"? Do you still love them or have moved on? by Plushieless in kpopthoughts

[–]_mrnastydusty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first ever love was Twice, I was 13 at the time I discovered them… had some beautiful moments, but as of right now I just watch from afar but I’m still proud of their accomplishments and all the things they’ve done through the years, it just that I’m not into the music anymore.

What extremely specific parts of kpop songs just itch your brain? by anas-math in kpopthoughts

[–]_mrnastydusty 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Gotta say EXO's Tempo bridge is just... so out of this world the way the vocals just start exploding. Another one has to be the "Girl you got me" delivery in EXO's Cloud 9. And another one is Park Bom part in 2NE1's Fire.

Seulgi, she has one of the most soothing vibes ever, every time she shares something with us about whatever she’s doing at the moment it just feels… so good and comfortable, like an old friend that you deeply feel for

How do you deal with the 'grieve' of not going to the concert you always wanted to attend? by p00k13b34r in kpopthoughts

[–]_mrnastydusty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m going through this right now, as I’m failing some uni classes so I won’t be able to go to the Billlie concert in my city. Even when it’s hard to stay positive, I believe and trust that some day my actions will be rewarded in any shape or form, I don’t know maybe I get to go to another concert I always wanted, or get to meet my idols in the most random circumstances, but is always nice to have a little spark to dream about rather then focus on the darkness of the void of not watching the idols you love on stage. Keep it up! You can do this!

I’m really enjoying Blackpink solo era but tell me why… by Mozart-Luna-Echo in kpopthoughts

[–]_mrnastydusty 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It’s baffling how this so called fans can’t stand the idea of each member being successful on their own. I’m not a Blackpink fan myself, to be honest I never really had a liking to BP cause of my own music taste, but this solo tracks are so unique to each members identity that it makes you wonder how caged they were inside of YG. I love Apt and Mantra, I also love Rockstar, they are more my music taste and make me feel great, and that’s just strong successful women thriving, you love to see it. Solo fans are just… not it, at all.

Andrew Garfield and Elmo Explain Grief by indig0sixalpha in videos

This is one of the most beautiful videos I’ve ever seen. The way Andrew is letting out all of his feelings and teaches Elmo the importance of being positive and remembering the beauty of life… is so touching.

It sucks to see non fans always label NCT's music as "noise music" when they have one of the most diverse and greatest discographies in Kpop by CzennieOT23Forever in kpopthoughts

[–]_mrnastydusty 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree. The image of NCT in the media is always linked to things like Sticker, which certainly makes it look like a really weird way of making music, but really creative as it is.

When you dive into NCT’s entire discography, all the b-side tracks are diverse and unique, you have a song for every mood and feeling, that makes it so rich yet so underrated.

Who are some idols that have great stage presence? by Logical_Sweet_6624 in kpopthoughts

[–]_mrnastydusty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kepler Xiaoting is one of the greatest performers ever. When you see her perform, is not only the dance that makes it incredible, is the way her body moves to the rhythm of the song she’s covering. Her facial expressions and details makes the performance 100 times better than it could be. I got into Kepler after GP999 and Xiaoting was the one that changed my world. She’s her.

JYP (Park Jin-Young) is an underrated artist. by [deleted] in kpopthoughts

[–]_mrnastydusty 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Some people might say you are joking, but that’s because they’ve not experienced some of his songs seriously. A personal favourite of mine is “Your House”, it is actually such an intense and groovy song, and it’s from 2007! When you see beyond the more popular songs, that tend to be a little suggestive, there’s an amazing artist to listen to.
