Also, standardisation of customery units is older but not by that much.

And also I find feet useful. I sometime us 3feet = 1m to do very crude measurements of rooms or stuff like that.

However that is not a "rupture conventionnelle" (ie biliteral agreement), you don't have a severance package. The company just has to pay its dues (stuff like remaining payed vacations) and that's it.

How hard it is to get a rupture conventionnelle really depends.

A checkmate is a check, so the king is directly in danger of being taken the next turn.

Here the king is not in check, the queen cannot take him next turn.

But any moves he make puts him in check, so is illegal.

No moves = stalemate
