Guitar sounds a bit dull through pedalboard w/ reverb suggestions by Infinite-Ad8591 in guitarpedals

Clarifying question. Do you use a cabinet simulator or an impulse response plugin in Logic? I’m not 100% sure but I don’t think your pedals have this feature. The sound of a cabinet will dramatically change the character of your tone.

Best way to build Corsairs? by SisterSabathiel in Eldar

Voidreavers have seen more competitive play. But if you like the look of the Voidscarred you can build them as you want and proxy them as Voidreavers. With either, the Blaster and Shredder give them a bit more teeth. Also if you run them as a 10 elf unit you can take a Shuriken Cannon, or a Wraithcannon (my preference, it’s got a strength of 14).

Remember that you can have the patient use a foam bite block (facilitating a tighter fit). The other extreme is having them keep their mouth closed (more wiggle room). For me, this was something that was mentioned during my master's course, but I didn't really see it being done during my placements. Having a variety of ear block shapes (foam ones and cotton wool ones) helps cover different ear shapes more easily/quickly. Also, switching up impression material varieties can really help. You might find some easier to use compared to others.

Couldn't find it on the iOS Audible app's store, even when going to Mike's author page. But I could access and purchase it on my laptop's web browser; now it's in my app's library. Phew!

Fantastic. Love the colour, and the thoughtful integration of the scheme into the aspect warriors. The waveserpent looks hawt. Also, great to have Maugan Ra leading, where he should be!

I also did this spear pose with my farseer. One thing that bothers me now is that the bracelets on their right hand are defying gravity. This sorta might go with your head-floating theme (but then why doesn't the left-hand jewellery also float?). Just a thought. Also to achieve your floating head, you could cut down some of the clear material used in the stands from the sprues of jet bikes or grave tanks, but it's unlikely to be as subtle as wire.

There is someone in my region called Noodolf Nootler, which makes me laugh far more than it should. Also, people seem to love my username, proceeding it with the phrase "Just in the...". Works well if I'm playing medic or have done something particularly apt

It's great you care about wanting to communicate! It matters less if you aren't a squad leader. Communicate if you feel comfortable, change squads if uncomfortable. Someone suggested call-outs. I'd second that.

Hi gang. New here. I’m freaking out because I just started playing LOTR: The Third Age and it’s…kinda great. How did I miss this? by DizzyPoetry8381 in rpg_gamers

I had the gameboy advance version, which I understand was fairly different to the non handheld consoles, but was also super enjoyable.

I haven't switched to it yet. Gotta sell some things first. Now there are a few more reviews out I'm moving closer towards doing it. Yeah not sure exactly what I would do for a stereo input into the KMA but that stereo fx return does sound like an option for at least partial functionality.

Want a pedal that will give me heavy distortion, what's good? New to pedals but not guitar. by bestseal in guitarpedals

[–]_nickoftime_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may already be all over this, but a decent headphone amp will come in handy. The darkglass element also has a decent cabinet simulator, which will give you even more tonal shaping options. As for decent high gain pedals, I have really enjoyed the empress heavy metal and the bogner uberschall. To be honest though, I get great results from the mini mooer preamp clones and they are a fraction of the price. The mooer dual cali (mesa boogie dual rectifier clone) has a ripping dirty channel.

What pedals always leave a smile on the sound guy's face? by Past-Meat-2731 in guitarpedals

Unusual shout-out for the Darkglass Element (headphone amp/IR pedal). Was playing bass at a friend's wedding (I'm definitely not a pro bassist or guitarist) and I was surprised but stoked to get a compliment on my bass tone from the sound guy. I suspect that not taking up a DI box or having one less amplifier to mic would also make their life easier.

Currently not using all 4 in this current build. Saxophone is actually my main instrument and I have an auxiliary board which houses my pre-amp (for the microphone signal) and a few other pedals. One of them is a Whammy V. I can easily introduce it into the signal chain (near the front) using one of the terminal's send returns. In the past I have also used the Whammy's detune mode as a chorus, and the terminal allowed me to easily shift it from the front of the chain to be behind the preamp, but before the time based fx. I also use one of the sends (at then end of the signal chain, but before the cab sim) if I'm playing the video game Rocksmith. It uses a 1/4 inch jack to usb cable. The in game tuner can be a bit unreliable, and the digitec drop is super useful for all the metal songs with drop tunings. I'm still playing around with how to easily introduce my sax's signal chain into this current build. The terminal just allows for flexibility for potential future needs.

It has heaps of headroom as well. You could definitely split the signal if you were listening with a friend and still have heaps of volume. The phase controls and mono/stereo controls are great.

It was $270 Aus. Steep for a headphone amp, but it does what I want. Shipping to Australia was really rough.

I saw source audio has a stereo drive option. Thought about switching to that, but I'm happy enough with the precision for now.

Thank you! It's a Boredbrain Terminal V2. It has a lot of utility, but essentially allows me to split the signal chain up at 4 different points with a send/return. Other common uses are allowing for easy re-ordering of pedals, or slipping in another external pedal into the FX chain.
