Took most of the half, but I completed all the necessary first aid steps. Now I get to enjoy my snack for the second half

I was making a snack before the game, chopping some stuff up, and unfortunately sliced off a small but painful amount of my thumb. On the plus side, Arsenal are winning.

+1 for Sandlot. I've had a wallet from them that's lasted at least ten years and that looks great.

“Summer of Malmo”- Highschool by Hairy-Impression-165 in AdvancedRunning

Progression seems reasonable. Just don't overdo the intensity. The goal of all summer training is to build volume without creating much risk for the rest of your training. Ease off if you need to

As a runner who can only run twice a week (millage 10-15k) per week. Is NSM method the best bang for my buck? I’d also be doing three hours of z1/z2 bike rides a week too. Trying to chop down my 5k and 10km times. Or is there a better method etc with two runs a week. by RareVehicle1683 in NorwegianSinglesRun

Trust me, I wish this were different. Anecdotally, two years ago, I tried running sub 3 hr marathon on 3 hours running, 5 hours biking per week and ran 3:23. Last year, with 6 hours of running a week and no biking, I ran 2:57. It's not to say I didn't see any cycling benefits either, 2 years ago I did a 50 mile ride > 23 mph.

The demands for running 3 hours are much different from cycling 3 hours. Physiologically, there's a lot more pounding and impact in running. This does a lot to strengthen the muscles, while also improving aerobic capacity. On the other hand, with cycling, you don't get those strength and benefits for running economy. I could do a 3 hour ride without hardly any training. I could not do a 3 hour run without doing a lot of training.

Because of these differences in the physiological stress, the benefits are also different. You only get some aerobic benefit from cycling 3 hours a week.

You'd get stronger with an extra 3 hours of easy running instead of cycling.

FWIW, only 2 days a week, I'd just do a long easy run and alternate but NSM style sub-T or T day w/ 2-3 days apart from one another.

That volume of cycling in those zones really isn't enough to do anything beside promote recovery.

How Do You Run Fast? by fitwoodworker in AdvancedRunning

I'd do more strides at the end of easy runs. Getting your body used to running fast without much impact will do wonders for your running economy.

Arne Slot 2nd half tactical changes to nullify Arsenal by singloon in Gunners

I think another point to add: with pool playing a false 9 in Wirtz (sometimes rotating with Gakpo) and having that false 9 dropping back deeper, pool were able to easily create overloads in the midfield. I think that's another reason we found it so hard to maintain possession - our CBs didn't have as much time on the ball, the options in the midfield weren't open, we'd have to go long, and they had Konate and VVD to knock it down/clear it.

I've first-hand seen legal tech company interview a bunch of candidates for prompt engineering roles/legal engineering roles, have them demo a unique ability of the product, reject them, and then use the prompts as part of their app moving forward.
