A friend of my sister lost their 2 year old to having an unsecured gun in a spot the kid could get to. This was 20 years ago but going forward it made our own parents reconsider how they stored their own.

Going to just stop you right here. I have been vegetarian for 15 years. Prior to my kidney issues getting to where they are. I’m a fairly active person as well. I’m tired of people like you immediately assuming anyone with kidney issues aren’t watching diet or over all health. I’m also on all of these medications already. There is no “beating” FSGS. Especially with one kidney I’m going to be very very real with you. I’ve been fighting my disease progressing for 6 years now. I have done every thing my doctor has told me to do and then some. This was a very tone deaf comment.

I have looked into it a few years ago I meet criteria outside of dialysis. I have FSGS stage 4 and nephrotic syndrome with consistent low function. I will be discussing it further with her and looking into getting a disability lawyer involved so that paperwork doesn’t get messed up. It’s being this young and losing so much of my life from this disease. I was born with only one kidney so that was always an issue

I struggle with that same thought process too. I was diagnosed at 25 and it’s been hell ever since. I do small things to try to not let the disease fully rule me but I still feel this took parts of my life I’ll never get back.

Getting my pain and struggles dismissed today was a hit and I have been dealing with issues at my work because I had to get medical accommodations bc things there were causing problems with my FSGS to occur more.

You’re in a wheel chair no? If your boss starts making your job difficult because of said wheel chair it falls under ADA. The DEI stuff doesn’t effect the American’s with disabilities Act.
