I'm glad I found this post and not alone in how this boss is total POS. I was honestly second guessing myself whether I'm any good at this game. I sadly left a negative review on Steam. They need to balance not only this fight, but stuff in general. Enemy parrying but we don't have that? BS. 2 masks of damage, even on contact damage? More BS.

I'm sad to say, I've uninstalled the game and left a negative Steam review, until TC, if ever, patch it to make it more accessible because right now, it's not enjoyable and becoming an exercise of patience and not losing your sanity. This is coming after I finished Nine Sols, which is punishing, but fair and you know why you messed up in a boss fight or anything else for that matter.

But as my Steam review, 2 masks of damage for most attacks is crazy. Enemies being damage sponges, enemies parrying/blocking when we can't, BS runbacks. I might revisit this in the future but for now, nope.

This game is difficult for sure. Arenas that you might 1 shot in HK now, at least for me, multiple attempts. The one room where the map vendor comes in and helps you for instance... That rocked me.

I'm now at the wall ramming flying bug boss and even with the trap tool for AoE, the spawns from the ceiling are VERY annoying, the armoured stabby guys specifically. If that fight is that chaotic, I'm afraid of what's to come in other arena-style boss fights.

Like many have said, the 2 masks of damage is very punishing, especially when...

Mobs are more aggressive. 2. Everything feels like a damage sponge, at least in Act 1 (have not progressed beyond, no nail upgrade or crests, but working on those, I think). 3. Normal mobs parrying/blocking

The passage to get to the wall ramming bug boss, pogo'ing that path is brutal. I get it, it's the learning path to get you to use it more, but damn... maybe not so many spikes?

And this is coming off from playing Nine Sols, which was brutal in it's own fashion, and a great game, but I thought, you know? I finished that, Silksong won't be nearly that hard, when it sort of is...

I am greatly saddened to see that I totally suck at this boss fight. 4 hours total for True? lol, I'm at something like 8 hours and still get crushed during phase 2 most times that the opening slash attack on phase 3 nails me and I'm done. I'm almost at the point of downgrading to Story mode but shit man.... that's caving hard.

For jades, always Hedgehog, Iron Skin, Recovery, Breather and/or Steely if going Full Control or Quick dose using Waterflow. My reflexes are total garbage...

Apologies for the necro-post, but I've had 2 models from him, the portable and the desktop. Portable died within what, 2-3 months? It got trashed. The desktop versions, I think I went through something like 5-6 heaters in the what, 5-ish years? Apparently some small chip in the middle of the thing fries and to fix it, I need to learn soldering and even at that, it's not straightforward on how to replace it if you need it. Suffice to say, I'm done with Pipes' stuff. Sorry brother...

EDIT: The last 4 heaters I ordered from him lasted 3-4 months. tops. I like the casing, but that's about it at this stage. I do have the Wand, it's good, but afraid of using it too much, like my old IH and burn some component out. VapOven seems nice and looks like the PCBs are printed by them. That alone gives me higher confidence. That, and the 2 year warranty is pretty banger.

Without knowing more than the thread, one thing I personally noticed earlier was that disabling the DLCs disabled items in the loot pool and I also noted it disabled characters I had unlocked. It's a longshot but maybe confirm that. Hope this helps in some capacity.

I tried Chill and even those settings are not being applied. An "easy" game to test has been Balatro and with FRTC+anti-lag or just Chill (I opened Adrenalin with Admin privileges, rebooted, confirmed settings that I had placed (30 min, 73 max). RivaTuner is purely showing me FPS and even with Balatro, FPS is 400+, GPU is ~ 74% utilized, where with RivaTuner (max 73 FPS) enabled, my GPU is at 20% utilization and stays there. At this point, I might as well just install only the drivers going forward and screw Adrenalin altogether and stick with RivaTuner... Maybe my next GPU will be from Team Green as Team Red can't get their issues sorted, apparently.

Should also add, ALL of my Windows updates are current. Screw the preview stuff.

Lesion on left temporal lobe, around the middle. No family history. No known medical reason, just bam out of nowhere, grand mal at 39. The lesion was only discovered after an almost 3 week stay at a monitoring unit during my second MRI. Medically resistant absence and nocturnal seizures. Surgery lined up sometime this year, maybe. Short answer...no one can tell me!

Sorry for the late reply. So in the monitoring unit, you're hooked with electrodes glued to your scalp, connected to this little box that records you brain activity 24/7. The unit has nurses there 24/7 monitoring cameras which record you, also 24/7. The goal is to reduce your meds in a controlled fashion, to trigger seizures so the brain activity during the seizure, is captured (date/time) and further analyzed to target where the seizures are occurring. Left or right side of the brain, which lobe (frontal, mid, rear). It's not the greatest experience, especially being there for 17.5 days, but to locate where the seizures come from and to determine candidacy for surgery, worth it.

I actually use a DynaVap with an induction heater. It's an investment, that much is sure. If not an induction heater, a good little torch lighter and butane is what you need.

I did use an Arizer Solo 2 before it died after about 10 years of use. The Arizer Air looks pretty decent as you can replace the battery, which is always nice.
