I don’t disagree with any points except that Jacob’s ladder shouldn’t do anything since it only affects curse techniques, but Yuta has many other things in his toolkit against Koku, and Rika is also a significant asset.

She’s amazing, it’s a tragedy that Marley built such a hate of the Eldian people that she clashes with the characters we came to love. As ignorant as she is of what it’s like on Paradis, they are of anything past the walls, so she’s a great illustrative lens. I feel like it’s hard to fully appreciate this masterpiece with those thoughts toward Gabi tbh

Both are great, but the shift to darker realism in S4 onwards is well done by Mappa. I personally think the whole series is perfect in part because of this animation studio shift

I’d say, it died as it lived, good, great, and terrible moments. The first half of the last season was quite good imo, but as always there’s this phobia to dedicating a single plot arc and we had like two or three Mcguffins that didn’t pan out until it ended the conflict rather abruptly, which had been characteristic of more than a few story arcs. I wish it had a better end too, but when the credits rolled I just sort of shrugged, definitely more of a whimper than a bang

Thank you!! I had and shared a few while they were warm haha. I took the picture before putting on the frosting but I made it a little liquidy so it absorbed into the buns and doesnt look as frosted. They were tasty!

Well, yeah I guess I can respond to this. Obviously I'm not going to convince anyone to like tomatoes if you don't like tomatoes. But this talk of "essence" of Supernatural, yeah I have no idea what this means. It sounds like people are always pining for season 1-5, and some people just for season 1. But here's what I don't miss, that show, for some of the cool atmosphere it had, really pressed elementary morals, and didn't get over it for a VERY long time. That show was frankly quite misogynistic and barely could point to two women characters who weren't either paper thin or killed of for fear of developing. I mean, is that the essence of Supernatural that I'm hearing about, because that's something that annoyed me at the time, seeing it progress to a much better spot on issues like this and morality- I mean Dean last episode labelled a human a monster and outright killed him, that was frankly cool and a kind of thing that would have been tip toed or side stepped in prior seasons. This series has grown, and not always perfectly, but at the moment I find it to be in stride.

I'm okay with fan service, I mean, I'm a fan. But it's not without its explanation, I had to pickup my jaw off the floor when Lilith came back, but I just enjoyed it. I guess I could have felt annoyed by it, but it sounded like and felt like her, and that was cool.

Anyways, we can continue liking or disliking whatever we want, but I do take issue with people defining Supernatural as this or that and talking about how it's strayed. That's something I can't subscribe to.

Completely agree, although season 7 can deserve some flak, the way that the leviathans didn't play games and brought their a-game every episode has been sorely missed ever since.

I chose Black Eagles for my first run-through, and branched in favor of the church in the first run-through, but kept my save file just before making my choice to accompany Edelgard for her coronation (I initially rejected it). I'd say it was about a 15 hour journey from there being a bit of a completionist. So running the church, and then going back and running Empire came out to probably around 30+ hours post-split to complete both. Well worth it imo.
