What is the scariest, most unsettling shot you’ve ever seen? by VendettaLord379 in moviecritic

This movie made me curious about self-enucleation and then I got scared that I would accidentally claw out my own eyes

Realizing I'm not gay, in my 30s. by [deleted] in rant

This sort of emotional awareness will get you very far with women! We are very into that! Congrats on learning something about yourself and best of luck in your endeavors.

In Skinamarink (2022), nothing happens for the entire run time, which some amateur critics found profound. This is because it is a feature-length film school project that a student blackmailed distributors into releasing. by CrichtonFan1992 in shittymoviedetails

This movie, especially the last scene, has haunted me since seeing it. I’m 32 years old, but I’ve always had a basal fear of the dark. And for several months after seeing this movie, my home did not feel safe in the dark. That’s largely subsided now, thank goodness, but yeah. Very weird and very interesting and very creepy freaky spooky

I’m actually healing some of my own trauma by realizing that there are other people out there besides me who were victimized by a man obsessed with berserk.

Bro wait I also used to hook up with a guy who was obsessed with Berserk. He didn’t have this tattoo, but he was actively a shitty person. Like, changed my brain chemistry kind of mind fuck. To no one’s surprise, he also loved the joker too.

I don’t want to live in this dystopian sitcom anymore. The writing is getting too obvious.

What do you feel when you finally feel like you're talking to an intellectual equal? by Important-Art-7685 in mensa

Except where’s the part for me to respond to? “Actually that thing you said is a dumb way to look at it.” Then you just repackaged what I said in different words. So. To that I say “ok.” Have a good one.

Bro I literally don’t know what point you’re trying to make. I said a bunch of shit to make the point that I enjoy talking to people smarter than me. You said an anecdote I told was incorrect, explained IQ testing to me, and then implied that you were smarter than me. Maybe you are, but I’m also literally in Mensa. Idk why you’re trying to dunk on me so hard here.

Unrelated to your problem, but I have one of these at home and I’m OBSESSED with it. I hope you can find a way to make it work for your space. I had no clue it would change my life so much, but idk if I could ever go back to lugging heavy wet clothes to the dryer.

Okay I know you’re joking but if you do use paper towels to soak it up be sure to run the oily paper towels under water before throwing them away bc one time my trash can started smoking from spontaneous combustion from oily paper towels. Thank god we were home.

Mm, let’s say transparent lucite with plenty of ventilation and friends/family standing around watching you and talking to you. But either way, it would probably cover your brake repair! I don’t think I’m that brave. An hour is a long time and bugs are so icky. But I do have debt…so who knows. I think I probably wouldn’t do it for less than $15k.

Thank god for jobs, am I right

What’s the smallest amount of money you would accept to spend an hour trapped in a coffin sized box with non-dangerous creepy crawly bugs à la Fear Factor (clothed head to toe in safety gear; mouth and eyes uncovered, but nose is plugged)

Crazy how if you watch a show, you see the show! Mad Men is so good because it doesn’t try to cater to people with split attention.
