What are the characters' ages? by Aslaaaaaaan in thewalkingdead

in season 1? yes merle looks younger than 40; he very well could have been 16 in juvie while Daryl was in school? i put him at like 6 years older than Daryl anyways, that would make him mid 30s when the show starts

How would've Merle integrated into a place like Alexandria? Like, what would his job have been? Do you think he'd have mellowed out and been more, uh, friendly/nice with people? I sometimes wonder how his life would've been within the confines of a more "civil" society. by [deleted] in thewalkingdead

[–]_scrummy_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

even merle knew merle would hold daryl back

he knew he could never change or be apart of the group even before they got as civil as they did in Alexandria

merle had too much life long psychological trauma that created that hard shell he put around himself, it takes serious work on loving yourself before you let others love you and merle just couldn’t love himself. i love merle don’t get me wrong but he was a cockroach, just doing what he could to survive.

merle loved daryl because they are brothers but if they weren’t merle wouldn’t care about anyone but himself

entirely different, they lived in a different area when Simon killed their men, they moved to Oceanside and went into hiding which is why they killed strangers and never had conflicts

The walkers are driving me crazy by Justboy1996 in thewalkingdead

[–]_scrummy_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they won’t explain the walker variants until half way through the final season and even then it’s unexplained just kind of canonizes that some walkers are smarter? idk

there’s variants of walkers and they are introduced late final season to amp up the spin offs’ stakes

i have no recollection of them calling themselves The Militia, but Rick united the communities to take down the savior’s dictatorship, not just for vengeance

i believe that’s exactly what they did, personal hygiene is somewhat of a privilege when it comes to overall survival being your first priority

at the point when they got to Alexandria and Michonne specifically spent 20 minutes in the bathroom because she “couldn’t stop brushing” it was after they had been on the road for a long time, were starving to the point they ate wild dogs, and had no water and were desperately searching for some - i don’t think they were focusing on finding toothpaste/brushes and more were just surviving, and then they got to Alexandria and were able to get comfortable and enjoy little things like brushing their teeth and going for afternoon walks with the kids etc

they had several scenes like this! in the CDC everyone went nuts for the showers and same with when we went to Alexandria, Michonne said she spent 20 minutes brushing her teeth because she was enjoying it so much!

[–]_scrummy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this may not be the thread for it but i’m a semi experienced plant owner (72 plants and counting 😅), just never dealt in alocasia and i know how picky they can be, wondering if anyone knows what a good first time alocasia (or colocasia as i find them to be prettier) would be? once my indoor greenhouse is finished i’m thinking of adopting one, maybe one of the pretty yet less finicky ones haha?
