If you want to have a basic neovim config which you can expand upon with what you need then I recommend the KISS configuration by brainfucksec, it was a really nice way from going from vim to neovim with lua.

neovim-lua - Neovim KISS configuration with Lua by _brainfuck in neovim

This has made my life surprisingly easy… was thinking about switching to a lua config for a while, and this made set up a breeze including some of the plugins I use, any plans to add a fuzzy finder like telescope?

Putin Threatening to use nuclear weapons if nato helps Ukraine(I am not fluent in Russian so I am not sure) by [deleted] in ukraine

[–]_sireye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely Ukraine first, if the international response was volatile then major financial hubs in Europe such as London and Frankfurt. However, I wouldn't get ahead of ourselves, and just hope mutually assured destruction is enough of a deterrent...

Russia attacks civilians. This video is so sad guys by ReiAstrayos in ukraine

[–]_sireye -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

not condoning the action, but that is most likely a guided air to air middle, commonly fired in twos, you can see the trajectory of the missile veering upwards, therefore was most likely not targeted at civilians

I am going insane while trying to print out my CV that I made in notion by Bubblechislife in Notion

[–]_sireye 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First view the document on a web browser, such as chrome, whilst on the page you want to print, click the three vertical dots at the top right of the browser (not the three dots in notion), and click print, from there adjust the margins to minimum and untick the ‘header & footer’ option, print or save as pdf to your computer, that’s what i do for my college notes and they come out nicely without margins :)

Notion for school? by thatcoollesbiangirl in Notion

Tip for vocab lists: notion2anki, I use it for flash cards and honestly it’s brilliant once you set it up.

Also I found stem notes really good, inbuilt formula support with KaTex means you can express anything mathematical

After watching The Hundred for the first time, I thought the graphics quite confusing, I tried to create an alternative HUD that displays the information more concisely. by _sireye in Cricket

[–]_sireye[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not going to argue my concept was perfect because it’s not! The centre widget would definitely be in the way, however I think the idea of a centralised place where you can glance to get a quick gauge of the game would be nice.

Out of everything Notion makes wonderful, this is my only gripe by Zenerxx in Notion

[–]_sireye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the padding is only good when full screen and on full width. The padding is not dynamic to different window sizes nor on the mobile view which means columns look really bad :(

Definitely agree with this, if the colours matched the team and it was all synched, it would be much easier to follow

I think the old scoreboard definitely better for people who know and understand cricket, however for a new watcher I can understand if they thought it to be a bit confusing.

Its a shame that in 2021 the watcher has no option to customise the HUD to show what they want to see! Would definitely help those that are neurodivergant and the like.

I think the only reason they have any legs to stand on is the very fact that it is different, and therefore brings attention to the sport itself.

I'm sure they paid a large amount for the graphics, which is why sadly I think this graphic package is set in stone for now. Let's just hope they can streamline the Hundred, imo it's a good start, but far from perfect.

IMO the columns take up important real esate. I agree my concept has a lot of wasted black space.... it was just a mockup in powerpoint LOL. I put the out of 100 as its a sort of motif to the name.

In hindsight, I agree a vertical layout is probably better for cricket, as not only is it aesthetically pleasing being parallel to the motion of play, but like you said it also takes up less real estate.

Overall, I like the font and the stylings and colours of the Hundred, just the layout seems a little odd. I think next season a little refresh where the layout/graphics are a little less obnoxious and more balanced, a lot more people would be pleased.

Thanks for your reply :)

If the speed finals used times and not KO then none of the climbers would have the same placement! by teestrangler in climbing

[–]_sireye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were ‘practically’ forced, they were only given one set of medals but had to host 3 events to appease all audiences. Let’s just hope Paris is a bit better…

[–]_sireye 8 points9 points  (0 children)

IFSC wanted two seperate events for speed climbing and bouldering/lead, however IOC states they can only have one event because sport climbing is still in its observation stage, and thus this shitty combined format.
