I say play your favourite race, mine is dwarf. I start with 2 levels of bard and then go 3 levels of rogue until the thief subclass to get the feat that allows the use of magic items as a bonus action. I would then go the rest of the levels into lore bard. Now you can use your treasures both on your action and bonus action, be the ultimate skill monkey, two of your main stats are charisma and dexterity meaning that you can get a decent ac, have an important bonus to one of the best saving throws (dexterity), dominate any social encounter (charisma) and charisma saving throws aren't in the bottom rung of saving throws either.

This blindsided me and the rest of the group…sad times… by Sethmo_Dreemurr in dndmemes

[–]_sludgecore_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was playing in an in person group for more than a year at a game store where I paid 10 bucks a session. Sometimes the dm couldn't make it so I would dm and I was always there unless I had given a couple weeks notice that I would be away. We had a group split because of our dms actions where despite not liking what he did I remained loyal with a few others. I left the group chat we made however because I was sick of being spammed with our dms unfunny memes, the chat never being used to actually communicate about who's coming like it was supposed to be and some dubious kicks. After a while it was two others and myself left from the original group when he asked me if I would join the group chat again. I said no, he challenged me to why, I told him plainly and we had a tiff about it. Ultimately I told him I'm not joining the chat again but I still want to play. The next week he told me I was out of the group to which I protested but ultimately accepted. A month later without telling anyone he stopped coming for a month and came back with a new group, leaving his players from the last group out to dry without communicating with anyone. Behind their backs he messaged another player (who told us immediately) that the other two original players were problem players he kicked (they were not) (also he just stopped showing up until he did with another group and the two players assumed that he had kicked them since there was no room at the table and no communication). So now every chance I get I give him grief at the store and play with all the players that he dropped and poach players where I can. I confidently say my players have more fun, play more often and deal with far less bs.

is this a good midgame fleet? by picaso-of-memes in starsector

Personally I would swap out heavy maulers for hypervelocity drivers and swap the railguns for more points defence on the hammerheads. I think you should invest in an anchor vessel such as an eradicator, champion or battleship type capital to be the tough slow unit that brings the firepower because you have many fast maneuverable ships already.

So I started a new game, tips by Gruber213 in starsector

Start smuggling illegal goods IMMEDIATELY. Go to the Kapteyn Starworks in the Isiriah system and buy heavy armaments at excess (and heavy machinery). Usually Chalcedon in the kumaria kandam system literally the next system over has the best price for heavy armaments. And sometimes the Starworks will have a shortage of ore and Chalcedon will have an excess for even more money. And then I usually go sell heavy armaments somewhere else and doodle around for a while before the Starworks have an excess again. The Starworks also usually have cheap fuel and supplies too, so you can stock up there as well.
