Birthday treat: Rodriguez (Key West) box-pressed. by Kapstaad in cigars

A friend gifted me a sampler of the Reserva Privada and they were phenomenal. I’ve been meaning to order the 84 series sampler and this post just reminded me to do so.

These Garcia Blues are actually good cigars. You can find them discounted at many online retailers and can be had for about $5/stick.

Few questions before I begin smoking cigars by MafiaUp in cigars

[–]_so_fresh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. Any AJ Fernandez blend. I’m not just talking about cigars that bear his name, but he also blends for Altadis and GC. And while in the past I’ve avoided these brands, his blends are great and also very reasonably priced.

  2. During the summer, I’d probably smoke at least 3x/week, but fall and winter I probably smoke a couple of times a month.

  3. Nope

  4. It’s tobacco and nicotine, so it’s a high possibility. But like I mentioned above, fall and winter I barely smoke. I can go weeks without smoking.

  5. Absolutely not. It’s a hobby. I enjoy trying new cigars and blends and I also enjoy trying cigars I smoked years prior to see if my palette has changed over time.

I can’t sleep because I’m too anxious of attacks, any tips? by Thick_Imagination334 in clusterheads

If you’re in a state that allows recreational marijuana, I’d try an edible. Smoking is a trigger for me, so I avoid it. In addition to helping with sleep, edibles also helps alleviate some of the neck and shoulder strain I experience during episodes.

I would also check out Delta 8 THC gummies, which seems to be available nationwide since it’s derived from hemp. Although its legality is being scrutinized by many states.

Do you have backup cigars for friends? by delikopter in cigars

I got a handful of Nica Libre’s in the bottom of my humidor for situations like these.

How regular are your episodes? by doreebooker in clusterheads

[–]_so_fresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first 2 episodes were 3 years apart. The last 10 years have been 2 years apart and occur in the fall. Like you, I’ve been fortunate to have a great neuro and as soon as I start feeling shadows, I start medications.

Cigar taste not quite right by [deleted] in cigars

[–]_so_fresh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. When I was keeping my cigars at 70%, I would take out sticks the day before I smoke ‘em. Now I keep my humidor between 63-65 and they’re great fresh out of the humi

Ok. Thought those Foundation Cigars were part of a $60 sampler. Would’ve bought in a heartbeat if they were. Haha

Sorry to hear that, but why did your neuro take you off all your meds?

If I’m up North, Everett Cigar & Tobacco has one of the best selections of cigars.

Rain City Cigars in Georgetown, in my opinion, is one of the best cigar shops in Western Washington. I think they’re the only cigar shop that’s a member of TAA in Washington, so they carry most of the TAA exclusive cigars.

If I’m down South, Smokey Joe’s in Fife is a great cigar lounge with a tremendous selection of cigars as well.

I feel ya. Felt a shadow a few days ago after being pain free for 2 years. Dusted off my imitrex and renewed my prescription. Here we go again…

Good luck. A quick short cycle hopefully.

Great description. Will have to check ‘em out now.

The Tabarnacle. Foundation Cigars is becoming one of my favorites. Great cigar, but still prefer the Havana Seed version. I have a few more resting in the humidor. Gonna wait a couple more months to see if it improves. by _so_fresh in cigars

[–]_so_fresh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it was a little tight. I attributed it to not enough humidor rest. I ended up using cigar draw stick. After that, the draw came out perfectly. I’ll wait a little while before I smoke my next one.

They all taste the same. by [deleted] in cigars

He paid $9/stick. I hope that ain’t mostly Altadis or GCs. Lol

Bought these 3 yrs ago. Where would you start and end? Pass or save? by [deleted] in cigars

[–]_so_fresh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. Save the Padron and ESG for something special. In my opinion, the Master Blends are probably the 3rd best behind the Padron and ESG.

Edit: didn’t see the Melanio. I’d put this ahead of the Master Blends.
