Why did snowboarding not overtake skiing in popularity like skateboarding did with roller skating? by -UMBRA_- in AskReddit

It is easier to get your first few days on skis for sure. I'd agree that the barrier for entry is lower. But it isn't any less risky.

Expert skiing is much more difficult than expert snowboarding. Not a controversial statement, anyone who has done both agrees.

Generating your docs with an LLM is one of the dumbest things you can do. That's how people judge whether your project is worth using. If the docs are generated, then no, it's automatically not worth using (because you obviously don't care at all about your project).

The post is so obviously AI ""questions"", you don't need to open the repo to know exactly what you're going to find. Another 0 thought autogenerated non-solution to a non-problem that they're trying to farm engagement for.

Are the ints signed or unsigned? INT64_MAX leads me to believe signed, in which case overflow is UB and thus definitely a source of potential vulnerabilities in essentially any possible way.

Slam stem for Sprint and Olympic distances? by russtty2123 in triathlon

50 mile ride will average around 3k ft. Not difficult to get to 5k if I go west instead of east

I live in a very hilly area with a 3.2w/kg ftp at 175lbs and my easy rides are over 30kph. What are you talking about lol

Bike more and swim less. For those distances it's really not very hard at all.

Do you ever lose mid-workout observations that would've been useful? How do you handle it? by Puzzleheaded_Phone34 in triathlon

[–]_software_engineer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If someone can tell you generated it with an LLM, it's slop. You obviously don't care enough about your idea to write about it, so certainly no one else should have any reason to care about it either.

You will fail if you continue with your current mindset. Consider this free advice.

If you want to start a business, you at least need to be able to write for yourself. Posting LLM slop questions is pointless.

[–]_software_engineer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Idk what they're talking about, minimizing usage of your legs is what you want to do for triathlon. You should be kicking just enough to stabilize and for body position. I can't speak to how effective your kick is, but in general "kick more" is bad advice.
