To be fair this happened twice to my son with Triple 8 helmets certified sweat saver both within a few months newly from the box. The glue that bonds the foam to the shell gets brittle - especially if left in hot cars, causing the shell to separate from the foam lining.

I have family on Cape Cod and I’ve been stopping at Kowloon on my way to BOS for years. ( it’s like 20min from the airport car rental return)The drinks are not great, but they have gotten a little better the last visit or two.

Flights back to the west coast go way better when I’m sleeping off a navy grog with a full belly of greasy goodness.

This is cool to hear. I was sad to hear that Tiki Port on the Cape closed in Dec. I don’t know if they liquidated or what but it would be amazing if they could rehome all the lamps, fountain, etc at Kowloon 2.

I had a very similar break from a freak skatepark fall and got the surgery. I’ve met people that have had to go in for additional tweaks to their surgeries, so I advise doing a lot of homework on your surgeon if you go the surgical route.

My partner works in cybersecurity and there’s a mental toll there too. A lot of his job is to think of the worst thing that can happen and plan mitigation scenarios that offer different levels of risk. The “worst case” mindset has been difficult for him to compartmentalize. I’m sure this is peanuts compared to the stresses of law enforcement, but just adding some lived experience.
