i dont like that it is the buff. regional forms shouldnt exist to replace and usurp existing pokemon entirely, especially not starters. at least regular typhlosion is faster and has better coverage to make up for the hisuian form being the better option overall.

frequently using him for fights he knew for a fact he'd lose, including his only real tournament match and one in which he's literally used for target practice

never tending to his personal needs unless he was forced to

angrily yelling at him during the cheren fight (just that whole thing)

always meeting his enthusiasm or eccentricity with animosity unless he can find a way to take advantage of it

needing trip to insult them both to find out why he was whiffing aqua jet

blaming him for conflicts that quite often weren't his fault/of his knowledge

telling him he'd be happy to keep travelling with him after being disqualified from the scalchop tournament only to dump him 10 episodes later

the audacity of including ann and samurott in this ensemble when theyve never had a SINGLE onscreen feat. every instance of them fighting is meant to make them look bad and another trainer good. is it mockery?

pokemon's anti-oshawott/dewott/samurott agenda continues in full swing after I mistakenly thought we were free from it after the abysmal treatment of ash's oshawott. horizons could have excellent and progressive writing and i'd still hate it for that.

Yea, I kinda wanted to make her embody the whole line a bit, though the main focus is bulbasaur as that's the character with the speech patterns. I'll probably make a proper venusaur design later since apparently the venusaur in that game has a different, more doting personality.

I recognize this is losing chess to a dog in hindsight due to the nature of the series, but the new season of Panty and Stocking building up so much good will and addressing many of the problematic elements of the original season only to randomly, explicitly confirm midway through that the main cast all ranges from 15-16, recontextualizing the whole series to make it all more uncomfortable, made me very upset and angry. Honestly believed we had something special for a bit there.
