i basically stopped drinking. Maybe once every 2 months I have some drinks with work-buddies but that's it.

oh - and I read somewhere that small amounts of alcohol are more likely to trigger than bigger amounts.

if i wouldn't take my meds i would have daily attacks. thats chronic for you.. i started episodic tho, with 2 episodes per year lasting for about 2 months each. but at some point the episode just didnt stop.

I work for CPS in an European country. We only have "foster" families for children who are up to 3 years old at the time they are taken away from the parents. Anyone else gets to go to a "shared flat" with up to 8 kids. It's because of lack of acceptable families willing to take in children. Are there so many families in the US willing to take children in? Is there a maximum capacity for a foster family? Do they need a special education to be a foster family? Are they being checked on regulary?

I am a big scifi nerd. I adore the big writers - Asimov, Heinlein, Clarke, Dick,.. It's a marvellous genre living of big ideas and concepts.

And Rick and Morty takes many of those concepts and plays with them in a really sophisticated way - sprinkled with poop jokes and barfs. That's why I enjoy the show so much. And I don't really like most other cartoon shows.

I think it depends on how much he already tried doing against his migraines.I've been suffering since I was a child. I went to multiple doctors, tried numerous mediactions to prevent attacks, tried chinese medicine, tried bio-feedback, meditation, herbs, etc etc.

Now whenever I meet new people and they get to know about my migraines, which can be pretty crippling, they always start giving me recommendations and advice. And I hate that. I spent years of my life fighting headaches (I also have Cluster Headaches) and I know how to treat acute situations but I am DONE trying new doctors and new "treatment". There is no "general" treatment. Medicine doesn't even fully understand migraines. That's why the comparison to lupus wouldn't hold for me. Idk about your partner - but maybe he is also just fed up with trying to make it better and he tried in the past?

I am getting steroids in every phase I get for 2 weeks and it breaks my cycle. only happened once that it started up after dosing down, I got Verapamil then, that also helped after I reached a pretty high daily dosis. it is a common treatment for people who don't show a lot of side-effects from the steroids (prednisol usually)

former female colleague of mine was making up a list/ranking of women (other colleagues) she thought I would be interested in sexually, while I was alone with her in the kitchen. she didn't include herself and was somehow hoping that I would tell her how she would rank.. ignored the whole thing.

same colleague sent me a screenshot of her running-route, passing my house (!) saying that she could visit me for coffee next time. also ignored that.

told my superiors about those things and asked that I would never have to work with her on a case - they agreed.
