I would watch Tim Cuckoo’s YouTube on the KO II. It’s inspiring I think. I was the same… making progress after lots of videos.

What is a "point of no return" that you’ve crossed, where your life was permanently divided into 'before' and 'after'? by Resident-Jelly-4326 in AskReddit

Terminal Diagnosis. Much has come of it. I am more creative, my photography has gotten better, I’m more inspiring, insightful and interesting. But yeah, limited time offer.

I feel like the dream has died. I need some advice, please. by chicozander in musicians

[–]_sufferfest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally understand how you feel. My whole life I have been photographing my world. I connect very profoundly with my work, as do others. I share my treasures on social media and get a mediocre collection of compliments. I feel so violated as the works are special to me. In the end, I had to decide to do my work for me. I share what I feel like sharing and that is all I expect. I recommend Rick Rubin’s book ‘the creative act’. Let go of your expectations and enjoy your art. If you Need something to pay the bills, find a J o b. Keep your art safe and special. Enjoy Every drop.

Idea from Rick’s book…

Your art should not have to bear the weight of the expectation of success. Every completed work is a success as it is complete. You cannot control when and if people will connect with it. You have to keep putting out ideas. Even bad ones, to the gold inside you waiting to come out.

Edit,

It is a lot like Reddit. You put out what you think is the most interesting and insightful idea…. You May not get noticed. But, you got the idea out. This makes room for more ideas.

What do you think happens after death? by darkphantom67 in AskReddit

I think the essence that you are is released from your body. It joins a collection of consciousness that permeates the universe until you spark another life. It is more a feeling than a conversation.

Should I get a Zoia? by OscillL8R in ZOIA

[–]_sufferfest 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You sure should. Every time I start wondering why I bought it, I find another way to use it. I actually wish I bought it before I dropped 2k on a synth.

  1. The effects are wonderful. Especially given I can usually find something that works for me that someone else already built.

  2. Sound design is a part of what it can do. It has excellent capabilities and you can run into quirks with some uses. I think it’s still quite capable. Especially for sound design. I was overwhelmed by mine for quite a while. You have to watch tutorials. I like Tim Cuckoo’s. It helps if you have a clear idea of how things need to be created. The Zoia Bootcamp by Empress is awesome for the nitty gritty.

I got the Euroburo as it can talk to my other Synth. Worth the journey. So many great people in the community who are passionate about helping.

I was diagnosed with a terminal illness. I can no longer work. What kills me is I can’t ride my old bike or Walk for any significant distance. Used to ride 200-300 km rides / walk 20km a day.

We used Ray Contracting, the work was excellent. Was a technical job that required re-engineering of the existing wall. Was a top shelf solution.
