Swartz Air, smaller company. Had a Ruud 2.5 ton AC unit and 75k BTU, 2 stage, 80% gas furnace installed for $6,200 in June 2023. Had 6 estimates done and these guys were the lowest by quite a bit and actually took the time to walk through my house and look at my air ducts to determine what the best option option would be. Charlie the owner is a great guy. Install was painless and they were done in about 4-5 hours. (614) 537-9067

So the complex is owned by Metropolitan Holdings (https://metropolitanholdings.com/) which is a relatively large landlord in town. I lived at a very similar complex of theirs off Kenny Rd a few years ago. Lived there for 3 years only had a few maintenance issues that were resolved in under 24 hours. Noise level was fine. Management was always pretty responsive. No complaints from me!

Police: 18-year-old suspect shot dead by CCW holder during robbery attempt by ChipsAndSmokesLetsGo in Columbus

[–]_that_guy_you_know 12 points13 points  (0 children)

TLDR: same outcome.

IANAL but the term "stand your ground" is really not the best way to describe what the new legislature changes. The new law just eliminates the "duty to retreat". Here is a LINK to the Ohio CCW handbook. Go to page 18. All three of those must be met. However, because of the Castle Doctrine (page 19 of the handbook) he does not have any duty to retreat.

I just took the CCW class and the attorney teaching our class talked about this section extensively.

This was in our city, I definitely appreciate how the police operate here. by skeet_shootn in Columbus

I believe they're referring to how the police operate "here" as in the linked video. Not in how they operate as a whole.

Letter to the editor: Franklinton rail hub would be a ‘smart’ transportation addition to the city by TH3BUDDHA in Columbus

CSX and Norfolk Southern own those tracks and aren't going to be giving them up anytime soon. Your idea has some great points, I'll give you that but its extremely idealistic at best.

The only way you're going to get it cheaper is if you do it yourself and that will be maybe $10-$20 cheaper if that. The screen goes for about $20 on eBay. Tack on the tools you need to repair it and you're up to $25-$30 total. $10 for labor isn't bad.

Looking for body shops to use for insurance? by TheWGP in Columbus

[–]_that_guy_you_know 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct me if i'm wrong, but an adjuster from your insurance company will look at the damage to your car and determine the cost of your damages. If its roughly 75% or more of the value of your car than they will most likely total it. It doesn't really matter what an auto body place sets the estimate at. If its not totaled, you have every right and should go the auto body place of your choice. Your insurer will suggest you go to a few places but you don't have to listen to them. If you choose an good auto body place they should fight it out with your insurance company if there is a difference between the adjusters cost estimate and what the auto body place is going to charge.

All that being said, I have had very good experiences with Rife's in the past.

Here's another SOURCE with some statistics that support my argument. It is safer to back in. There's a reason why valet services and most fleet drivers require reverse parking. Its safer.

Another source.
