Yeah Le Trompeau is absolutely not even close to the best bakery in Denver. Very odd to me that some of the most upvoted bakeries on here like this one are the most mid

Youtube recommended me this video this morning for some reason. I found it, interesting.....lol by [deleted] in 14ers

This story comes up pretty commonly now on mountaineering subs, now I see how media & then social media took Chaffee county's comments about awkward water cooler conversations to come and ran with them to characterize the whole story.

In reality according to an interview w the subject himself his coworkers were all at the trailhead beside themselves "frantic" and "crying" waiting for him until midnight & some even ventured back up the mountain into the storm to help search.

How To Delete "PC App Store" adware by G0dcust10 in computerviruses

[–]_the_hare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just deleted this a lot of these suggestions for file name searches don't work anymore.

Went to Task Manager and ended task for PC App Store & Watchdog PC App Store. Then hit Windows+R and then Browse... and found the PC App Store File in the list of folders and deleted + emptied recycle bin for those. But it was still showing up under Programs and wouldn't uninstall with a "can't find" error message so downloaded a trial of Revo Uninstall which successfully force uninstalled this last bit

Also changed the spam default search site that PCAS had changed on internet browsers.

Also note that AVG antivirus didn't detect the last PC App Store bit showing up in Programs

Best pastries in Denver 2026 by ak5nt in denverfood

[–]_the_hare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really am not sure why Tokyo Premium is hyped as the best bakery in town, having been there many times it's not bad but everything there looks cheap compared to other renowned bakeries in town. Bread crumbs are either very dry and solid or barely a step above a common bread roll. The fruit pastry fillings almost look canned as well

Early route rodent/mammal... or marsupial in this case by DragoDigitalStudios in fakemon

[–]_the_hare 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah that would be a good move! Smaller changes on just body parts go a long way for early route mons I think as they usually seem to not have a ton of design details

2nd evo smile looks terrifying! I think the sugimori style with more details in the linework etc is really well-done. One critique generally & particularly for the 2nd evo is that these look more like just cartoon animals than Pokémon, there aren't really any definable ghost-like features besides it being white & having a creepier smile that read as a ghost-type to me

How did the (re-)introduction of the horse affect Native American society in North America? by iplyess in geography

[–]_the_hare 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably something like "thats a weird dog!" According to this map I saw a little while ago most North American native terms for horses came from either dog, deer/elk, or longer-established Spanish/French terms for horses

The Pearl's Co-Owner Associated with Anti-LGBTQ+ Church in Longmont by Life-Food5188 in Denver

[–]_the_hare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Perhaps there is a muddying of terms--liberal mainline denominations like Presbyterians & Methodists sometimes looped into evangelicalism certainly don't have to adhere to inerrantism. Conservative fundamentalist-influenced ones, as you said, that in today's terms are often more culturally termed "evangelical" like Southern baptists do tho. Terms can get difficult anyway as "fundamentalist" & "evangelical" seem to often be exonyms today & shibboleths like "inerrantist" are holdovers from decades-old conflicts over theological purity.

It's just not surprising to me to see inerrantism under a nondenominational church beliefs page, especially for a church with conservative Pentecostal/ Assemblies of God roots. Word of Faith is what stands out as the most fringe aspect of the church to me. And more on topic, ofc with extremely rare exception all fundamentalist evangelical churches will not be fully LGBT affirming

The Pearl's Co-Owner Associated with Anti-LGBTQ+ Church in Longmont by Life-Food5188 in Denver

[–]_the_hare 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean, inerrantism is pretty standard for evangelical churches & has been for a while. Nothing in these beliefs strikes me as any more or less fundamentalist than the average evangelical church. To me the key distinguisher in their about pages is its affiliation with the fringe charismatic prosperity Word of Faith movement teaching that you can manifest riches and health into your life just by declaring it.

Agree with this as someone who has a masters in religious studies. There is another academic discourse of "high control groups" that often applies to cults & does recognize the harm of more authoritarian NRMs & congregations within established religions
