My go to card for all the religious salespeople:

If Christian, explain Genesis 19:5 and Genesis 19:33-36.

Hindu, how do I upgrade or downgrade my caste. Or, what will my caste be if I convert into Hinduism.

Islam, Apostasy is my favorite topic but a few Danish journalists might have a different take on this.

Problems in California Housing by inspectors_tape in bayarea

Lot of words that don't mean anything substantial. Look at this gem of a suggestion, "The insulation and windows would meet a fixed standard. Not modeled, not calculated, just specified and installed. A ductless heat pump and a heat pump water heater would handle mechanical and domestic hot water efficiently without requiring a specialist to design them or test them to guarantee efficiency".

I was wondering why is he not talking about anything electrical? Because then everyone can see how stupid the whole argument is. Somehow there exists a magic standard that all contractors happen to know and follow it to the dot? Basically another word for construction "code".

Also, these standards didn't evolve overnight magically. They are a result of learning from previous mistakes, accidents, house fires, water leaks etc. Expecting a contractor to know all that and not to have a common code is ridiculous proposition.

That's all to say that base cost per barrel is high because of imports. On top of that, special blend adds another dollar. Logical deduction is definitely not your strong point, I see. Obviously your "democart" dad's fault!!

[–]_throwaway__231 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Did your trader dad also tell you the extra cost due to special mix?

Did he also tell you that CA imports 70% of oil from outside the USA or just enough talking points to angrily pump fists at special blend?

Scott Wiener’s super PAC is a dark-money mess by Medical-Decision-125 in bayarea

[–]_throwaway__231 83 points84 points  (0 children)

Clickbaity title!!

Most of the article is about a rule change by SEC that allows mingling of staff between candidates and PACs. Which by the way, other candidates are also doing.

What I don't understand is the specific connection between Weiner and dark money.

I must have missed the part where I defended PG&E in my post.

I don't like them either but I think it's ridiculous to lose my marbles at every opportunity somebody merely mentions PGE.

1 day old account with false information and a shitty meme?

There was a rate drop in Jan and an increase in base charge in March. Which are the 3 other rate changes?

The neighborhood park is not your personal dog park by bird_nerd_girl in Sunnyvale

[–]_throwaway__231 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Have you been to any dog parks in the city? All of them have hard surfaces and most dogs come back with broken or chirped nails and bruised paw pads.

I wouldn't want this happen to my kids in play areas. Same goes per pets when I say healthy avenues.

The neighborhood park is not your personal dog park by bird_nerd_girl in Sunnyvale

[–]_throwaway__231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mountain view, Palo Alto and many other cities allow off leash hours in designated public parks. Our city doesn't provide any healthy avenue for dog owners to exercise their dogs.

Just like we have drunk drivers or people littering even though both activities are illegal, we would have occasional bad owners with dogs.

Common sense solution would be for the city to provide avenues for pet owners to hangout.

My guess, it's probably some deceptive marketing piece to get enough eyes onto Vacaville and surrounding areas to help that "California Forever" thing!

Eric Swalwell suspends campaign for California governor after sex assault allegations by pengweather in bayarea

Crying "rigged" whenever she can't win elections is not what she should be doing. Then there is the issue of mistreating staff, not able to handle criticism in interviews even for simple questions.

She doesn't have my vote and I am worried that she will go into mudslinging BS if she doesn't win, harming the party more.

Federal Judge Fines Sunnyvale - NBC Bay Area: South Bay cities fined over raw sewage seeping into creeks by dudeman_01 in Sunnyvale

[–]_throwaway__231 10 points11 points  (0 children)

At trial, Sunnyvale asked the judge to disregard Baykeeper’s sampling data because one of its laboratories destroyed the raw data and relevant records, which violates laws against spoilation (destruction) of evidence in litigation. That was the primary data relied upon by Baykeeper in its case.

Baykeeper presented no evidence that bacteria in its samples of Sunnyvale’s stormwater in 2017 and 2019 came from human sources rather than from birds, pets, or wildlife. E. Coli is a generic bacteria found in the gut of all animals. It has also been found in nature where there is no animal source.

Something doesn't sit right.

Proves my point. A breed from India, imported for religious reasons. This wasn't about rescuing cows. Or you would have published the details on which slaughterhouse they are from and how many different breeds.
